I’ve listened to a lot of Pilson interviews. He’s very intelligent and levelheaded. If he says greed and ego got in the way of Dokken’s success, then I believe him. Hopefully resting in peace. One of the best songwriters of his genre. He would have been 60 today. Went way too early. He left us with songs that have stood the test of time. Far from perfect but he was a talent for sure.

Not a bad song at all. It went to #1 because Bon Jovi could do no wrong in that era. They had a huge amount of momentum. They were MTV darlings and that drove everything during this time.
