Just recently pulled out my White Trash debut on vinyl. Was surprised at how much I like it now. The songs and riffs are all awesome and I love how it sounds quite under produced and raw.
Si O Si Que is a good album too.

Re: New L.A. Times Interview: Jon Bon Jovi
I think it still tells that optimistic story. People said, “Who’s Frankie?” That was me going, “I want to make movies and make records and I want to be involved in politics and social issues.” People heard that song and didn’t understand you were talking about Sinatra? Nobody knew. They just though...

Re: VENOM: CRONOS' contract says no Ex-Venom allowed backstage
Like some random club staff member would recognise old Venom members :) Hell I worked at an arena the fake GnR played and we had a memo from the organiser "No Slash signs to be allowed inside the arena". The bouncers were looking at each other asking "what`s a Slash sign" :) And ...

Reminds me of that documentary from the 90s when the kid gave Paul a plaque at the convention and Paul just left it on the stage. Couldn’t even bother taking it backstage to throw away. I saw that doc recently. He did take it off stage, he just threw it right in the trash and the family walked by a...

for a song that's almost 50 years old, it's held up quite well. revered is more like it. almost EVERYONE loves the track - from up and coming rappers to otherwise clueless millennials. don't believe me, do a YouTube search for "Led Zeppelin Kashmir Reactions." they ESPECIALLY love the &qu...

Itś is a little sad to see it was all over before Eddie`s passing already.
Wolfie overplays like a second rate Sheehan, Eddie`s tone is like he borrowed gear from a nu-metal band and Dave`s vocals are all over the place.

I do! This band was above the times. What a sick record

Why do so many ppl here believe that ADKOT was a good record... they had to go back to the 77 demos because Eddie couldn't write anymore, and the one new song that they did put out sucked donkey balls. Where are you getting “the one new song” from? Songs that weren’t based on 70s or 80s demos : You...

Anyone else think Dave might have a terminal condition, and is unloading now because of it? But... Dave and Eddie had the biggest feud, as did Sammy & Ed... give it time, Sammy might just unload on Waffles too! $tEvil Could be. But if Hagar has any sense this is a rare chance for him to try to ...

Re: David Lee Roth, Cinderella, Extreme Tour 1991
Did Roth do Sensible Shoes? No. Co-headlining meant short sets so the only new songs he was playing were the title cut and Tell the Truth, which had both already came and went from the charts. 2 things screwed Roth - going to Europe 1st, and losing Becker to ALS. Without a hotshot guitar player, he...

I see his name mentioned a bunch. Was in Jetboy, Hanoi, and played with Johnny Thunders. What did/does he do for a living? Seasonal construction gigs? Wash dishes in a restaurant? Or did he work for a club or some other venue? The guy has been in bands for ages, but none of them could have paid the...

I remember them being the worst thing about the Freddie tribute. That is so wrong Queen are seriously overrated, especially Brian May. I also hate Mercury`s voice and his style of performing. It is funny May brings up Nuno Bettencourt when asked about his favourite players. How poor taste! But you ...

One of my favourite marillion songs is a Hogarth era b-side ‘the bell in the sea’ It’s about a folk legend of Whitby and Saltwick Bay. A couple of weeks ago I drove out there and walked from one to the other and back. Got some good photos at saltwick bay and sang the song to myself as I walked the ...

I see Fugazi mentioned here but not their debut. In my opinion the best are 1. Clutching at Straws 2. Script from a Jester`s Tear 3. Misplaced Childhood 4 Fugazi I think Fish`s olo career was much closer to the spirit of original Marillion than the Hogart era Marillion. Nothing against Hogart, but ...

Any fans? I had their first few albums. Excellent musicians. Absolutely horrible songwriters. The 2 ballads were good for what they were. Kid Ego was pretty good. Misplaced Childhood and Clutching at Straws are GREAT. sure a bit derivative or Pink Floyd meets Genesis, but still great songs, lyrics, and all around works. I revisited Dressed to Kill today. What a perfect rocknroll album it would be if Ladies and Waiting and Two Timer would be replaced with better songs. Or at least those two plodding songs shouldn't be tracks no 2 and 3. If they were hidden to end of A side and middle of B side they might not kill th...

Agree w/ the above. 2007 was the closest he came to resetting to old-school Dave, but he still had those fruity embroidered bolero jackets and he still insisted on riding that stupid inflatable mic during Jump. Then he brought out the granny mat in 2012 and it was all downhill from here. Wish he ha...

I've always liked Sami Yaffa's playing. It's always fitting to the music. I concur. I’ll add: Tom Petersson (Cheap Trick) Simon Gallup (The Cure) Tommy Stinson (The Replacements) Paul Raven (Killing Joke) All excellent choices. Came to post Sami Yaffa too. Saw Springsteen play his career longest show, 4hrs and 6 minutes at Helsinki Olympic Stadium in 2012 I think. Was too long definitely. One of The Cure`s Stockholm shows felt almost as desperately endless :) Much preferred Death Cult`s 70 minute set at Manchester Albert Hall last month. FNM also did ...

This really really sucks.
After the amazing Death Cult gig week ago I mentioned some friends there are 3 great live bands left from the 80`s: (Death) Cult, New Model Army and Killing Joke.
I guess we have just lost one of the three
