You’re an icehouse fan. Win.

You ignored my PJ new album thread that had a direct reference toward you. Loss.

Overall it’s a tie.

Re: is Christian Woman the best heavy metal song ever?

There’s no bad type o songs. Also it’s Pete Steele’s birthday today. Halloween in Heaven! Fun fact, Xian woman borrows heavily from blue Monday by new order. Just much slower. Thought Blue Monday was by Amir Derakh's band, Orgy??? You’re such a candyass. Btw why did you stop posting on the encyclop...

Re: Hip-Hop in the 80s and 90s

I was really into rap and hip hop until around 94. The early 80s stuff had a huge electro and disco influence which I thought was great (sampling Kraftwerk!), and it was a breath of fresh air. Then you had socially conscious artists like public enemy and Eric b and rakim - a more aggressive take on ...

Re: Disco ball motors: a cautionary tale.

Disco is awesome and anyone who disagrees is wrong. Now I’m inspired to get a disco ball in my 900 square foot Manhattan apartment and serenade my neighbors with some Village People and Saturday Night Fever. This is gonna be a fun Friday night now.

Re: “Silent Running” and “All I Need Is a Miracle”…

All awesome songs mentioned here. Endorse.

Silent Running has a creepy vibe. I remember listening a lot to it when Independence Day came out and assumed the lyrics were about an alien invasion which creeped out my 15 year old brain.

Re: If you had to do a drug, to excess, what would it be?

Ecstasy and coke always a great time but come down and hang over are fucking brutal to the point it always ends in regret. Shrooms in small doses can be excellent (1g tops). More than that I’ve had some really strange trips that were unpleasant. Same with THC. Edible sweet spot is 15mg. More than th...

Sweet Pain and Flaming Youth? Great.

Beth was OK. Great Expectations sucked. So bad.

Summer of 92 that is. Jokes aside, this is brilliant. At once parody but also homage done in an amazing way.

I would wager they weren’t Indian if they were celebrating Eid. I mean, they were likely Pakistani or Bangladeshi. They could have been Indian, but unlikely. To be fair, the term "Indian food" means from pretty much anywhere on the Indian subcontinent - India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Goa, K...
