Re: Jellyfish - Bellybutton vs Spilt Milk?

I wish Andy would actually release something. I have kids that like Scooby Doo, so I have heard a lot of the stuff he has done for the various shows/movies. Some of that stuff is more Archies than Jellyfish, but it would nice if some of that stuff was given a full release. This was for a different ...

Dude done hit the big time... playing at the Dosey Doe in Houston. What's next? The Six Pack Saloon? Juan will be doing the Beyonce Texas Hold Em dance. The Dosey Doe is a GREAT venue (and has really good food). But it's more of a dinner club kind of place, for jazz and fusion and singer-songwriter...

Re: Jellyfish - Bellybutton vs Spilt Milk?

I was kind of disappointed when I got the Imperial Drag album. Some of the demos from that album were leaked out almost a year before the album came out and a lot of the ones I liked didn't make it to the album. The demos were released on Weed, some file share service, about 10 years later. You can...

Bellybutton by a short hair Favorites: New Mistake, Ignorance is Bliss, and That is Why, So you pick two songs that came AFTER Bellybutton? Yep, I just think Bellybutton is the more consistent album. If I expanded my favorites to my top 10, there would be more from Bellybutton than Spilt Milk. 4) a...

Re: Jellyfish - Bellybutton vs Spilt Milk?

Both are excellent, but Spilt Milk is more consistent and also flows well lyrically from start to finish. And I prefer the sound quality of that one. I do like Jason Falkner's solo albums quite a bit, where he also gets in much more guitar work.

Re: stp or aic

Enjoyed both, but STP only sporadically. And they could be kind of bad when not on. In the original run, AIC was spectacular every time out except perhaps the S/T album, which still had some really good moments. And Jerry Cantrell's first two solo albums are as good as AIC, making that a very strong...

Crazy World was even worse than SA. I got off the train there. I just couldn't see eye to eye with the band anymore.

Re: We don't talk nearly enough about Savage Amusement

Media Overkill and We Let It Rock are the only two good songs on the whole record. Even worse, it sounded worse than their prior 4 albums despite using the same producer. I remember being profoundly bored with this one as an 18-year-old.

Kansas in a small bar in about 1990 or 1991. Steve Walsh was . . . energetic.

David Lee Roth in a sort of dance club like place (essentially a really big bar) in 1994. It was actually quite a good show, though.

Randy Bachman ultimately did not regret leaving The Guess Who, although he's said it got really dicey for him in '71 and '72 before BTO got going. Just prior to that, he had to a stay awake all night quite a bit to make ends meet.

I’ve listened to a lot of Pilson interviews. He’s very intelligent and levelheaded. If he says greed and ego got in the way of Dokken’s success, then I believe him. Don says drugs hurt the cause, and he would be right about that too. I hope for one last album or tour but the odds look bad after thi...

Once. Michael Schenker Group at Toad's Place Club in New Haven, CT in Fall 1989. Had gone up to the roof of the club with a friend as I was under 21 at the time.
