I interview artist Natalie Van about the songs on her debut
Crazy talented kid. Her dad owns a studio nearby and he contributed lead vocals to my Vintage Quixotic project. We both agree that Natalie already surpasses us with her musical ability. I'm proud to have been invited to be a part of the debut release of her new album If you like female singer-songwr...

It's a bunch of people having fun. I'd have paid for that s*** if I could have. Gene and Paul are childhood heroes. And now meet and greet opportunities like this are over.

This is cool, because on Sludge if you don't have anything bad to say don't say anything.
Outside of the MP3 rip sound quality, I guess there really isn't much to criticize here.

In my top five. Morrison Hotel is my fave. Even though their product releases are mostly recycled from the limited material they have - especially video - they make it worthwhile. Like if they include footage on a DVD that's been released previously they fully remaster it so it's more like an upgrade.

Axl from 2:50 - 3:20 = the best Axl. No way in Hell could he pull that off live. Hell no. I keep up with the shows in HD on YouTube as they get uploaded. It's bad. There is like zero lead vocalist presence in the mix. And it's completely paced with no room for spontaneity. All the big production an...

That's where I learned about the passion and Pontius pilate. Crucify! Interestingly that song was co-written by Bloodgood guitarist Paul Jackson who is the son of Grover jackson.BadDogWater wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 10:13 am Detonation is great. The part where they kill Jwsus is my favorite.

Glenn has always been a dork. I always thought of Rob as the dorky element of the band. Especially when you compare him to somebody like Bruce Dickinson. And I thought Glenn was like the cool one. No matter where you stand on that I think everyone has to admit he is a way underrated guitarist and s...

It's different for everybody and there's no shame in. I don't know if my brother has ever cried. But it depends on how we're wired. A few years back my folks went back East for the funeral of my uncle. He was a nice guy I saw him every Christmas and thanksgiving. But I didn't feel inclined to make t...

AIC is the better, more creative band. But like the guy above said, it’s pretty one note. I rarely want to be in that head space. As far as AIC connected music, I’d choose Mad Season Mad Season was like Temple of the Dog - Better than anything else the participants had been a part of. So deeply mel...

Re: new BLACK CROWES album announced: "Happiness Bastards"
No one listening to this? Solid 8/10 album, quite ballsy and rocky, much more like their first album (when they were good) and not all that tired hippy shit that came after. This album has swagger and energy. Really enjoying it. I was never a big fan of these pretentious tarts. The first new single...

Is KK sinking all his money into KK's priest?
I'm pretty sure I read in his book that he opened a golf resort that went belly up. And I think I also may have read that he sold his share of the priest catalog? Looks like his band has some good productionvalue live. He's got real players to pay and record sales these days don't pay for a bus. Rem...

Ice Cube turned down a big payday because he refused a mandatory vaccine. He didn't like being dictated to. And despite the shaky ground the vaccine urgency was on, the left ignored contrary reports, and attacked those who saw merit in them. At the beginning it was unanimously reported that the vacc...

The one that bothers me is the Moonraker/Dolly braces thing. I saw that in the drive in as a kid and many times after on HBO etc. The reason Jaws doesn’t hurt her is the braces give them a common ground and the scene doesn’t make as much sense without her having braces. This one strikes me as a tru...
