Re: Def Leppard, Journey & Steve Miller tour

Live Nation is doing a crazy thing here in Europe, Journey and Heart are touring separately here at the same time. I'm not sure if either is big enough to sell arenas. It would have been common sense for them to tour together. Can't recall Journey playing anything but afternoon slots at festivals o...

Re: Def Leppard, Journey & Steve Miller tour

When I saw the initial ads, I thought it was going to be Journey, Def Leppard, Steve Miller, Heart and Cheap Trick each night . Damn, that's a boomer festival that will sell out everywhere. Can't miss. When I saw that it was the 178th co-headline of DL & Journey w/ one of those 3 in each city, ...

All three TKO records are good.

It depends on the country. For example here there's no tipping culture. You can tip, but it's not expected at all. Workers earn well enough even without tips.

The only one I've watched completely must be Lust Detector, which was as much comedy as porn. But that was over 35 years ago.

Re: How many CD’s do you still own?

Also, I used to work at Virgin Records, the label, not the store... and I can't tell you how much stuff they gave me, and I took even more. These labels give away endless product, and every time a guest would visit, they would say "Stevie, take them shopping..." which meant walk them into...

A lot of people in this country poo-pooh Australian table wines. This is a pity, as many fine Australian wines appeal not only to the Australian palate but also to the cognoscenti of Great Britain. Black Stump Bordeaux is rightly praised as a peppermint-flavoured Burgundy, whilst a good Sydney Syrup...

There are many bands I'd go and see if they came here. Very rarely I have travelled to see bands.
Some I'm seeing this year:
Journey
The Darkness
Heart
Pulp
Pixies (twice)
Ride
Therapy
Sleepy Sleepers

This list is a little ridiculous. Primus? Body Count and Rage Against The Machine influenced a lot of nu metal bands, but I wouldn't call them that either.

After leaving those three out, it's Korn.

It’s rare in entertainment to make to the very top wrung. Some that have cannot accept that they’ve fallen below it. To cope they develop bad habits. Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Prince, and Britney all fall into that category. It’s ends early and needlessly for them. There is probably no help...

It is acceptable, even for a band themselves. Fuck the rules. If even Iron Maiden can wear their own t-shirts on stage, so can everyone else.

GUN - never really get talked about on here but those first 3 albums are spectacular! The new stuff without Mark Rankin is also still really solid.
Their ep Popkiller with Toby Jepson (Little Angels) is really good too. Shame they didn't do more together.
