How are Steelheart these days?

They are playing in San Juan Capistrano and my friend is thinking of going. Has anybody seen them live recently?

Re: It appears this is what Warren Demartini has been up to

George Lynch's Screamin' Demon is a fine pickup, but lots of people are disappointed because they wanted the tone Lynch had during Dokken.

He was using JB's/Duncan Distortions back then.

Not sure how many people are chasing Warren's "new tone."

Re: Lisa Ann arrested! Free the GOAT!

From Cineblend: The NYPD has responded to Lisa Ann's claims, and their account differs from hers. Per a report from TMZ, an official from the NYPD alleges that they received a complaint about an individual causing a disturbance and disrupting the performance. The officers who arrived at the scene pe...

Eddie was such an original, and changed the course of music in his day.

So disappointing to see Wolfgang release such generic rock that sounds like any number of other bands.

Re: KISS final concert on PPV this Saturday

Tommy was at least a half beat behind the rest of the band. It boggles my mind that for this multi-million dollar show they don't have someone monitoring the sound board and getting that shit fixed FAST. But it went on all night. It very much dragged down the tempo of all the songs. Especially stuff...

Re: Rate the last movie you saw

Rush - 7/10. Good story about the Formula 1 racing rivalry between Niki Lauda & James Hunt. Both leads were good in it and was entertaining. Eurovision - 8/10. Thought this would be another in a long line of shitty Will Ferrell movies. But I liked it a lot. It's sweet and sincere rather than cy...

Thanks. One thing that's a lot nicer than most LP's is the
recessed neck joint allows you to hit all the higher frets.

No cock-blocking at the 15th fret!

Re: Rate the last movie you saw

Ant-Man! 8/10 Kinda like the first Iron Man movie without all the RDJ fast talking but more heart. Plus it's also been way too long since a big budget shrinking movie. Great effects, great humor and just enough connectors to the MCU to get everyone excited for Civil War next year. BONUS: Michael Pe...

San Andreas - 8/10. I'm pretty much agreeing with everything BootyDaddy said. It's a very well done disaster film and if that's what you want, you'll be very happy with it. Bonus point for a scene where The Rock actually ACTS and displays emotion, and also for the beauty of Carla Gugino and Alexand...

Lost River - 2/10. Almost didn't watch it when I found out it was the brainchild of Ryan Gosling, but I like Iain DeCaestecker and Christina Hendricks, and you know, Matt Smith was Dr. Who. Just horrible though - it sort of had the IDEA of a plot, but that was buried beneath agonizingly slow pacing...

Tapeheads (1988) - what a bizarre movie. the producers, director, actors and financiers must've been on LSD. Starring John Cusak, Tim Robbins, Jello Biafra, Martha Quinn, the Nuge, Lyle Alzado, Weird Al just to name a few. I think it was take off of MTV, Night Flight and whatever your basic cable i...

The Voices - 8/10. How much blacker could this black comedy be? None more black. Ryan Reynolds is great and I found it a very refreshing, very original and a non-commercialized flick that was way better than I thought it would be. Not for the kids. Skip the song at the end, though.

The November Man - 7/10. Decent flick. Pretty uninteresting dialogue, no Bond quips that I can remember. Decent plot, Olga Kurylenko (former Bond girl) looks fantastic. Worth a watch if you're a fan of Brosnan.

Executive Decision - 8/10. Awesome Kurt Russell thriller/action flick from 1996. Eerie to watch now as it's about middle eastern terrorists taking over a jet liner to use it as a weapon. Steven Seagal's only in the first 20 minutes. Actually, even though it wasn't a Jack Ryan movie, this is the best...

Skeleton Twins - 8/10. This is a pretty great indie movie, and the only reason it doesn't get a 10 is because there's no real ending/resolution. On the other hand, that probably won't bother a lot of people who like these type of movies. Nurse (2013) - 7/10. Not everyone will like this movie. If you...

Edge of Tomorrow - 8/10. Really much better than I would have expected. It's not deep, but it's a very well made popcorn flick/ sci-fi blockbuster and it's surprisingly hilarious throughout a lot of parts. Very fun.
