Re: Anyone want to explain why Geoff Tate is touring with...
I saw them at the beginning of Covid in Melbourne,
Read somewhere, probably here, that the band rotates through the sound desk.
In Melbourne it was also a great show.

Re: Tribute Bands
There was a band down here called Kisstroyer that were pretty good.
Saw Creedence Clearwater Recycled once, they were spot on.
Back in the late 80’s early 90’s very few of the ,teal bands came to Oz so tributes were all we had.

I was thinking this also.
But much like Slave, while much heavier sounding and better produced he songs themselves were not as strong as previous albums.

Re: FAIR PRICES? ... What do You as the Fan, Buyer, think are Fair & Reasonable Prices for...
Aussie dollars I won’t buy cds or albums any more. For an international act, I’ll pay whatever the mid price seats are, normally around $150. I paid over $300 for front bit seats for Kiss and Springsteen in the past. Shirts are generally around $50, hoodies, $100. If I like a design and have money t...

Re: Saw Springsteen for the first time last night
I’ll never ‘get’ Springsteen. Ever. He’s truly awful. Count me in with this guy It seems like he's always in character or something Is he really like that?? He talks about it a bit in the Netflix show, his stage persona is a character. I’ve seen him live three, maybe four times. Once, just him by h...

Re: Best Debut EP
It's probably not the "best", but I've always been a sucker for the Great White EP for some reason. Just cause you call it an EP doesn't make it an EP. I mean, I'm genuinely curious to hear if you have any other reasoning for this besides "tunecore says so", and obviously E.P. i...

Re: Gene proud they ended when they did, because if they kept going, they would have "stayed too long"
Selfishly I am glad they did this last tour , as my twins (7 years old at the time ) were able to go on opening night of the tour , and had a fantastic time at their first concert . They were standing up rocking and singing for all 2 hours , and got to have a night out with dad on a school night co...

I enjoyed that much more than I thought I would, ended up watching the whole thing.
I can’t help wondering how they would have went performing as a three piece with the young cub on vocals.

Of course, most metal shows I’ve been too, it’s loud enough that I can’t be heard, which is good for everyone.
Some of the gigs I’ve taken Ruby too however.

I listened to this today, I’ve subscribed to The Roth Show, they appear at random.
This one is bit more coherent than most of them and it’s the first one I’ve heard with other people in it.
Half hour a month is about all I could take.

Re: Ryan Adams: four new studio albums released at once
I've liked a song here and there but the last album of his I loved was probably Jacksonville City Nights , almost 20 years ago. JCN and Cold Roses were great albums ( both came out in 2005 ) but you are right, things went downhill pretty fast from those albums on. The S/T and Prisoner is the best 1...

Re: What’s an LP you like that’s never been available on CD ?
I’ve got the opposite problem, my brothers old band released three cds.
A local young bloke started releasing hometown bands cds on vinyl a year or three ago.
I have the first and last releases on vinyl, but the master tapes for the middle cd have disappeared.

Re: Bon Jovi 40th Anniversary
Down here in Oz, I used to see adds for it in Circus and Hit Parader mags. I ordered without ever hearing but was ecstatic when I got it and it was great. I told everyone I knew they would be huge, took another two albums but I was proved right. Saw them twice, on tour for Slippery and then New Jers...

My Chemical Romance, Ghost and Maneskin.
Gigs, which I think are a different kettle.
The Fat Thing and The Ergot Derivative and Hoff and the Night Riders.
Dead Salesmen duo.
Did not want to leave the house much this year, things are looking up for the next.
