Re: Why is it not acceptable to wear band shirt for band that is playing?

You have it backwards. It's not acceptable for a band member to wear a Mazda shirt while playing. I think it's lame for a performer to wear one of their own band shirts while playing live. I got this from a guitar player I was playing with, he didn't want me to wear the band t-shirt on stage. So I ...

Re: Why is it not acceptable to wear band shirt for band that is playing?

When we were in our early twenties, we always wore the shirt from the previous band we had seen.
Except Trevor, he had a Mercyful Fate tee, that he ordered through the fan club.
When it arrived, it had a note saying he was the first person from Australia to purchase one.
He always wore that one.

Live after Death.

And , I’ve probably watched this gig on YouTube more than any other in the past few years.
MCR live at Reading in 2011.

Re: Motley haters WTF do you want???

Before the arrival of Spotify and the like, I’d read about these two early tracks, Toast of the Town, and some other, fans raved about the quality of the songs , and lamented the fact they had never been released. Spotify comes, and bonus tracks appear, and I didn’t like either of them. I take it y...

I mean, I don't have any trouble hearing every instrument clearly in "Careless Whisper" (or "Dr. Feelgood" for that matter). So why not this? We've had 35+ years to figure it out.

Maybe it’s because of 35 plus years of listening to loud music in headphones daily.

I’m not a hater, I’ve grown older, we are the same age. Truth is, the only albums I listen to now by choice are the first two, and that’s rarely. My tastes have changed. Re: Motley Crue "Dogs Of War" full song

Sounds like Ghost. Sounds nothing like Ghost. Sounds like Rob Zombie, meets Sum 41, meets Sixx AM. A bunch of 60 year old men trying to sound current. It’s sad. I didn’t make it to the chorus but I’ll stand by what I posted. It could also sound like those bands you mentioned, but I didn’t hear Drag...

Great lyrics won’t save a shit tune.
But can add heaps to a great one.

As I’ve aged though, and learnt more about the world and myself, lyrics I screamed in my twenties make me cringe now.

And , Dio’s words are as relevant now as when they were written.
Genius,

Aerosmith played Melbourne in 1990, my mate Neil was wearing a Charlotte and the Harlottes t shirt.
Bloke offered him $200 for it, he declined.

I saw them at the beginning of Covid in Melbourne,
Read somewhere, probably here, that the band rotates through the sound desk.
In Melbourne it was also a great show.

There was a band down here called Kisstroyer that were pretty good.

Saw Creedence Clearwater Recycled once, they were spot on.

Back in the late 80’s early 90’s very few of the ,teal bands came to Oz so tributes were all we had.

But much like Slave, while much heavier sounding and better produced he songs themselves were not as strong as previous albums.

Aussie dollars I won’t buy cds or albums any more. For an international act, I’ll pay whatever the mid price seats are, normally around $150. I paid over $300 for front bit seats for Kiss and Springsteen in the past. Shirts are generally around $50, hoodies, $100. If I like a design and have money t...

I’ll never ‘get’ Springsteen. Ever. He’s truly awful. Count me in with this guy It seems like he's always in character or something Is he really like that?? Selfishly I am glad they did this last tour , as my twins (7 years old at the time ) were able to go on opening night of the tour , and had a fantastic time at their first concert . They were standing up rocking and singing for all 2 hours , and got to have a night out with dad on a school night co...
