Milwaukee is scary good. I don’t know if that pen can hold up all the way through though. Those arms are bound to get tired.

Re: Killeverything's (New)NeverEndingBaseballThread

Bandwagon? I’ve lived in Houston since 1986 and been an Astro fan since I saw Mike Scott no hit the Giants. Lots of bad years where they were tough to watch. Luckily a lot of the bad years coincided with them not having a TV deal where I could catch the games much but seeing this version has been a ...

Re: Killeverything's (New)NeverEndingBaseballThread

After taking two afternoons off last week to watch the ALDS, I can commmiserate with Bregman’s comment about the champs playing in prime time. Fuck the East Coast bias. The Astros are going to kick your ass regardless. Nice job by the Astros tonight. Not a lot of hits but tons of base runners. Good ...

Huh? What has Altuve ever done to warrant that comparison? Perhaps you meant Bregman? That guy can be a tad on the cocky side.

WTF happened?

This board used to be a launch pad for ideas, arguments and generally interesting political discussion. I haven’t been here in years but I come back to find not one single post about the contested nomination of a Supreme Court Justice and all the surrounding circus? WTF happened to this place? It’s ...

I hate to say there's no way Belichick can win a game but they've got a short week with no Jimmy Garroppolo and they play the Texans. I don't see how he does it this Thursday. Drafting a QB (or anyone else) high in the 1st round became a whole lot less of a gamble after the last CBA. If your first rounder doesn't work out, you look inept, but you aren't stuck in cap hell like you used to be.

Keuchel is a contact pitcher. He wants you to hit the ball. He misses barrels, not bats. He doesn't throw many pitches that batters can square up. I think the approach would be to be aggressive. You can't wait for mistakes against him because he doesn't make many. The Yanks were as passive as it get...

Keuchel always gets those calls because he puts the ball exactly where he wants it, like Maddox. Tanaka was missing. Big difference. I guess the Yanks hitters didn't watch much film? Trying to work walks of that guy is futile.

There are comments all over the comment section at MLB from Yankee fans whining about the strike zone Keuchel got last night. Keuchel was putting the ball exactly where he wanted it.
