Milwaukee is scary good. I don’t know if that pen can hold up all the way through though. Those arms are bound to get tired.

Re: Killeverything's (New)NeverEndingBaseballThread
Bandwagon? I’ve lived in Houston since 1986 and been an Astro fan since I saw Mike Scott no hit the Giants. Lots of bad years where they were tough to watch. Luckily a lot of the bad years coincided with them not having a TV deal where I could catch the games much but seeing this version has been a ...

Re: Killeverything's (New)NeverEndingBaseballThread
After taking two afternoons off last week to watch the ALDS, I can commmiserate with Bregman’s comment about the champs playing in prime time. Fuck the East Coast bias. The Astros are going to kick your ass regardless. Nice job by the Astros tonight. Not a lot of hits but tons of base runners. Good ...

WTF happened?
This board used to be a launch pad for ideas, arguments and generally interesting political discussion. I haven’t been here in years but I come back to find not one single post about the contested nomination of a Supreme Court Justice and all the surrounding circus? WTF happened to this place? It’s ...

Reading the butthurt from Yanks fans on this has been hilarious.

JJ Watt's out for the season: https://www.yahoo.com/sports/news/texans-j-j-watt-headed-to-injured-reserve-after-re-injuring-back-010558509.html They can bring him back after 8 weeks, I hope they don't. They aren't winning the Super Bowl this year. I'd rather him sit the whole year and hopefully get...

I hate to say there's no way Belichick can win a game but they've got a short week with no Jimmy Garroppolo and they play the Texans. I don't see how he does it this Thursday. The Texans won a playoff game with TJ Yates and 2 games last year with a guy off the street. Stranger things have happened....

I feel bad for Dallas fans, just like I do Minnesota fans. Losing your QB in preseason sucks. That said, I leave for 6 months, come back, and this thread is still full of predominantly Cowboy crap. Other than the couple of Cowboy fans here, who cares? They suck and without Romo they're going to real...

Bane-You are all over the place. If you think the rule is dumb, then why are you complaining about Girardi's behavior? I saw the play and I believe every sensible manager would have put up an argument like he did. The Astros player was inside the baseline. He was on the grass. So I guess the pitche...

I don't watch a lot of Yankees games, only when my team is playing them really, but is Girardi always such a whiner? Re: The NFL Thread
Denver's defense was great last season but nobody ever delivers a performance like that two seasons in a row anymore (remember Seattle?). They are going to need their offense to score some actual points this season and it's gonna be tough to do without a QB. Being a Wade Phillips defense, a second ...

4-12 and losing the Suoer Bowl aren't even close to the same thing. I recall Roger Staubach losing a Super Bowl too. Nobody in their right mind could ever call that guy a loser for it. Drafting a QB (or anyone else) high in the 1st round became a whole lot less of a gamble after the last CBA. If your first rounder doesn't work out, you look inept, but you aren't stuck in cap hell like you used to be.

Clearly people from Utah don't know football. It's right up there with that "white humor" thing. I know beating up on Matardo is fun, but 5 pages of Dallas talk is a bit much. In the meantime divisions will be clinched this weekend and the slugfest for the wildcard continues. Fuck Dallas a...

The Yankees always took care of K.C. The Yankee's couldn't even take care of the upstart Astros. They wouldn't stand a chance against Kansas City this year. Re: Killeverything's (New)NeverEndingBaseballThread
Keuchel is a contact pitcher. He wants you to hit the ball. He misses barrels, not bats. He doesn't throw many pitches that batters can square up. I think the approach would be to be aggressive. You can't wait for mistakes against him because he doesn't make many. The Yanks were as passive as it get...

Keuchel always gets those calls because he puts the ball exactly where he wants it, like Maddox. Tanaka was missing. Big difference. I guess the Yanks hitters didn't watch much film? Trying to work walks of that guy is futile.

Re: Killeverything's (New)NeverEndingBaseballThread
There are comments all over the comment section at MLB from Yankee fans whining about the strike zone Keuchel got last night. Keuchel was putting the ball exactly where he wanted it. He reminds me of Maddox. He's a Rembrandt. He pitched a great game. On to KC and that incredible bullpen of theirs. B...
