Re: Fucking weird Saturday morning cartoons from the 80s

Definitely the 80s one. I can remember waiting for the school bus and being so weirder out and confused by this show...after being raised on the movie version, it's like wtf is this shit??? Actually both of those shows debuted in '86. I'm curious why you thought the Real Ghostbusters wasn't faithfu...

Re: Fucking weird Saturday morning cartoons from the 80s

I remember how excited I was the first time I heard of The Real Ghostbusters, and how confused I was by the show...it was nothing like the GhostBusters from the movie! It was more like Scooby Doo and I hated it. I remember COPS, where the black leader was named Bulletproof because he was, and Longa...

Any other lesser known suggestions from the raw party hard rock period? ('82-'85 I guess) I'd love to find more stuff like Black N Blue's debut. Do you have anything by the Poison Dollys? Not sure if they ever released an album. They recorded "Love is for Suckers" befpre Twister Sister di...

RTS is definitely in my top 5 80's releases. Along with these 4. 1984 - Rough Cutt 1984 - In Your Face (TKO) 1985 - Little Monsters (Holland) 1984 - Steel The Light (Q5) Black N Blue is definitely an honorable mention. I will try and sift through it again and see if something stands out. I only las...

Re: L.A. guns Waking the Dead had a leftover track

Call Of The Wild is a cover we did for the Japanese release of Waking The Dead.. The Circus Of Power version. Ricky from COP was actually living right by the studio we made Waking The Dead in. He was friends with Tracii and used to come by and visit. Tracii liked the song and thought it would be a ...

Re: Phil Lewis: I was a bit disillusioned (before re-joining Tracii last year)

Even if Steve wasn't that excited to record a new album, I find it hard to believe that he would let LA Guns fall apart over it. I just don't buy into Phil acting like he had no control or say into how the band operated. Either way "The Missing Peace" is easily one of the weakest LA Guns ...

Re: L.A. guns Waking the Dead had a leftover track

Im a sucker for being an LA Guns extra tunes. I've never heard of this song. Where did you get your cd? eBay. The radio advance cds sometimes come in a slipcase with a description on the back so deejays can pretend they know what they're talking about. This one lists call of the wild as track 11, a...

L.A. guns Waking the Dead had a leftover track

I got the radio advance slipcase version of Waking the Dead, which features an extra song at the end, "Call of the Wild". I was excited because I didn't know that album had any outtakes.... ....but when it got to the end of track ten, the CD started over at track one...WTF!!! I had to find...

What part of 10 million legit views should lead to more than #147 on the charts is confusing you? #147 is a complete and total failure and flop. You're the one who needs to "do the math." It's almost impossible for anyone with the promotion and exposure they have had in the last few month...

Re: RHYMING AND STEALING ... The Raskins allege that L.A. Guns have stolen their music

The first LAG album features a cover of Girl's "Hollywood Tease", mainly a cover they made their own that fit with the theme of the band, and "Shoot for Thrills" from Kelly Nickels old band Sweet Pain, which they re-wrote and made better. I think they were looking a lot at the fi...

Paul Stanley was one of the best singers in rock and no one...

So let me get this straight. Or "strait" as Donnie Vie might have said. The first two Bon Jovi albums - which sold marginally and had no outright hits - are awesome. Keep in mind that they went platinum after Slippery hit the top of the charts. Back catalog sales. And the two really big a...
