I watched this one based on Ace's recommendation in the documentary thread, and he wasn't lying. If you don't get pissed off and emotionally moved by this movie, then go slam your face into a wall repeatedly until you cease to exist.

I was never a huge Brett fan, and thought that what Vince did was totally justified. After reading Brett's book last year, I'm even more convinced of it. He's the biggest mark for himself that I believe I have ever seen, and not nearly as good as he or his nutswingers would have you believe. Outside...

Saw IV--3/10 Not any better or worse than the rest of the Saw movies, which means it pretty much sucked balls.

Should be a mediocre year for my Blue Devils, much as it has been the past several. A Sweet 16 would be a great year, IMO.

The Kite Runner--3/10 As good as the book was, the movie was incredibly dull.

Drag Me to Hell--7/10 Fun. The kind of horror movie I'd expect from Raimi.

Paranormal Activity 5/10---I liked this a lot...back when it was called The Blair Witch Project and was actually kinda creepy. Not impressed at all. The last 10 minutes or so were kinda cool, but pretty much diluted by the fact that you see the last scene in the fucking trailer.

That first round had me thinking "maybe, just maybe..." but nope. Dude is fucking unreal.

On a somewhat related note, I looked up the supposed roster for the EA Sports MMA game and it had Kurt Angle listed as one of the fighters. WTF???

Gran Torino--7/10 Entertaining, but a bit predictable. Some of the dialogue was kinda clunky and the actress playing the Hmong sister was terrible.

Albino Farm 2/10---By the numbers inbred redneck horror movie. There's not a single original idea to be found, and only one scene that was mildly interesting. I got it on Netflix because it supposedly starred Chris Jericho. Turns out he's in it for about 10 minutes.

Year One--5/10 Mediocre is being generous; a couple of laughs but not many.

Anvil: The Story of Anvil--7/10 Good doc, but I'm not sure it was quite worth all the hype. The same movie could have been made about a hundred other (more deserving) bands.
