Re: Paul Dianno's book

There is a lot of the - " poor misunderstood Me" going on. All of his problems are from him being a drunken, drugged up asshole. The problem with books by people who were addicts, is they don't remember much. It's a lot like Adlers book. In the sense that there are bits and pieces of stor...

Re: "Star Wars: The Last Jedi"

I think people are misreading the Kylo Ren thing. He seemed to be rendered in that first movie as a young guy in the makings of someone darker, not some full-on dark lord. And he even expresses his own reticence to become that, as seen in that very scene with his father. I've no doubt the filmmakers...

Re: "Star Wars: The Last Jedi"

I wanted to be excited about it. Force Awakens had it's great moments, and the feel was mostly right, but Han Solo dying like a bitch at the hands of a whiny bitch like Kylo Ren... let's just say a cute gremlin added to the mix isn't gonna make it any cooler for this old cat. BTW that god damn ball...

It's Sludge NOBODY is bigger than Vince Neil not even Mr Pat Benatar 3 day event Vince probably does his 8!Crue songs and 20 minute tribute to Led Zepp before Poison Who sings for Soil now? Re: Rock N Roll HOF - Bon Jovi in

I've seen on other sites people bitching about, not just Priest being snubbed, but Priest being more deserving than Bon Jovi. Now, okay, snubbed I can understand. But who really believes Judas Priest deserves to be in the RRHoF over Bon Jovi? In all ways, which includes popularity, sales, and fit wi...

Re: Poison Rocklahoma 2018

Look at this shit. This kind of looks like a real fuckin' lineup and not just one of semi-faded bands (even though there are naturally a few unsurprising names on that list). Technically though, according to the charts, isn't The Used currently bigger than Vince Neil? Hey, we learned that legendary ...

I am gay and some instances of transgender perplexes me.... I have no hate in my heart for those having personal struggles with their identities. Over the years I've encountered several people who fully transitioned from male to female (sex change) and from female to male (mastectomy but kept the b...

Re: Dave Mustaine blocked special re-release of No life Til Leather

When it comes to Kirk's situation and writing credits within the band I think that if they use his riff and create a song around it he gets the credit. Just looking at the "making of" videos on youtube of the last two albums it looks like James and Lars take a riff (no matter who came up ...

Do you ever ask yourself, "Who wants to be in politics?"D Sure. There are those who want to change the world, but for most it's a stepping stone to money, power and recognition. I knew a guy who became mayor of a large city, and it was totally calculated for years. He went to Georgetown U...

Makes perfect sense actually. But if you want to get someone's attention, you have to pull off their masks. Okay, now that he's lost the vote, what are the next steps do you think? The statute of limitations has probably tolled on any possible charges but what do you think will happen to him and possibly others? Will this bring more victims out against not only him but others? Very talented singer and great guy. I was at a Savatage show in SF, years ago. Nevermore opened, doing a great set. During Savatage’s set there’s a dude next to me, going mental, singing every word to Sirens. I look up and it’s Warrel, headbanging and fist pumping like he’s a fan who paid to get in...

It seems to be a self-admitted truth for me, if I'm being honest, that the right-leaners in this climate really can't be trusted to be consistent. Re: Anyone who could never get the appeal of Megadeth?

I love Megadeth so nothing to add here...... What's your favorite lineup? The Chris Poland and Gar era or later? I think I like the Menza/Friedman era slightly better but Peace Sells is still my favourite Megadeth release if that makes any sense. I think the Friedman/Menza lineup was a more refined...

Re: Anyone who could never get the appeal of Megadeth?

I think it's been discussed here before, but I actually love Megadeth's cover of "Anarchy in the UK." I thought Mustaine had enough piss 'n vinegar in him at the time to make that a really worthy cover, which is pretty impressive considering the original song, and by extension the band tha...

I've always gotten a good laugh about Lars getting writing credits in the band. That's some funny shit. could you explain further for me? Re: Anyone who could never get the appeal of Megadeth?

There's something to the pure snarl that fueled those first few albums. It's embedded in the fabric of those songs. I don't quite know how to explain it. The combination of Dave's cynical, pissed-off lyrics and precise riffing, Junior's thumping low end and Chris and Gar's jazzy/fusion musicality ma...

I like Julian Castro. I believe he was one of those who gave a great DNC speech some years ago, along with Deval Patrick. He's someone who represents a good future for government, especially in Texas. It's just like the situation with Jones. Sure, he represents Alabama but he's still a Democrat and ...
