Re: R.I.P. Steve Albini - Heart Attack at 61
He produced a lot of records that nobody listened to, drove Blowbrains to suicide, and spent most of the last 20 years crying about how the old studio system was dead. Sounds like he was a closet racist as well. Seems like a swell fella.

Re: Why is it that Tom Werman...
made every heavy metal record sound as if the amps were placed in cardboard boxes? He did it with Motley, with Twisted Sister and with Dokken. Maybe he was fine producing poppier acts, but he sucked ass at producing heavy metal records. Lol. None of those bands were the least bit metal. He was a po...

Re: Gimme your top 10 hair band albums
PS - Van Halen is NOT a hair band. C'mon Bono, gimme a break... That's highly debatable, given some of the pictures that are out there. And the fact that they've influenced just about every hair band out there. And when you look at the playlist of any glam/hair metal event, there's always a few VH ...

Yeah the NFL is rapidly approaching that point. People are eventually going to chuck it in and realize that it's not worth paying for 10 different services to see all your favorite team's games.

I did - had the action figures, the playsets, everything. The original is an all-time classic. The 4 sequels are also entertaining, despite their various detours into 70s cheese themes. The Burton movie sucked, and I've 0 interest in the reboot series.

He "discovered" VH in '76, but Kiss' manager had no interest, so they languished in the clubs for another year before Templeman rediscovered them.Rocker4Real wrote: ↑Tue May 07, 2024 2:55 pm Doesn't Gene claim to have something to do with Van Halen or Cinderella?

Desmond Child. It's possible if Paul didn't ask him to work with him and co-write I Was Made For Loving You, he might have never been brought to the attention Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Cher, Ricky Martin, Alice Cooper, Michael Bolton, etc. Good answer. Even when he co-wrote Heaven's On Fire he was still...

Motley Crue is the office dude who hates his job and his coworkers but the money is too good to quit. He's talking about all this stuff, but that was yesterday. What's Lou singing lately? I remember Lou doing a pretty big-budget Shadow King project that was mostly turgeo-id. One good song only, and that was the little acoustic piece done by Viv Campbell. Shadow King is possibly the worst "supe...
