i think most of the time you can tell if they're fake.

i've never gone on looks, i just really love a guy who can make me laugh. if he happens to be great looking as well then that's a bonus.

i would never go out with a guy who takes longer to put his make up on than i do. besides, pretty boys know that they're pretty and that's the problem!

also, stick plenty of loose powder under your eyes, that way if you get any stray flecks of pigment, they'll brush away easily rather than smudge everywhere.

i second mac. huge range of colours and a little goes a very long way. plus they have great staying power and for the quality and the quantity they're pretty reasonably priced.
