Re: Kiss in the 80s
I was born in 74....so the first two albums came out before I did. So I discovered KISS during the Crazy Nights era. The 80s KISS albums still have that nostalgia-thing with me. I didn't learn for a while that they were the band that wore the make-up that my older sister listened to for a while afte...

I've never paid for meet and greets and special edition vinyls, but I'll give prices I'd expect. A band's new CD = 10-15 Catalog releases on CD = 10 A band's Vinyl LP = 20-30 A Vinyl, with Color options and/or Gatefold = 40-50 A band's standard 2 color print T-shirt = 25 A band's full 3-4-5 color, ...

Re: BACK-PEDAL … Bobby Blotzer posts follow-up “Clarifying” his recent Juan Croucier comments
I read his book because I was curious about his warped sense of reality. Clearly it wasn't written by him, as he can't seem to write a sentence to save his life. But I do think that Juan has to stop using the dumb 'the other voice of Ratt' tagline. Ratt had one voice. I have never heard anyone talk ...

I don't know if it went gold, but I can confirm that I am responsible for at least one copy that sold.Mister Freeze wrote: ↑Mon Mar 18, 2024 9:09 pm
It's not certified, but I'm sure at least 500,000 kids had this in their record collection in the mid-to-late '80s.

I saw Peter Tork in a bad blues band at a local bar. Very high cringe factor. The Hungry Tiger? If you mean the venue, it was Alfalfa's in Albuquerque. Yeah....the venue. From what understand, he lived in Mansfield, CT towards the end of his life. He used to play a shitty bar called The Hungry Tige...

Re: Vinnie Vincent’s third singer says he showed up to gig and there was no band
VV's third singer would be Mark Slaughter. Göran Edman (John Norum, Madison) recorded with Vinnie after Fleischman left but the label or management wanted an American pretty boy instead of that balding dorky looking foreigner with a great voice. There was Jeff Scott Soto at some point too, so Board...

Motley Crue "retirement contract" I thought you'd be saying something about Vinnie's shred-fest launch parties for all those "coming very soon, honest" albums he's recorded. Ha! That'd be a good guess....except I'm always rooting for VV and hoping he does the right thing.

He refers to "his fiancé's step-kids".....please explain. If she is engaged to Ace, then presumably she is divorced from the her prior husband, which is where the step-kids would come from, correct? So, they would no longer be step-kids. I get people call close family friends uncle or aunt...

4. When Jack Russell is singing about wearing the crown and jumping off mountains, it is disingenuous bullshit. The guy can't even stand up and sing at the same time. Nothing like a good custom made insult! Bravo! Thank you, good sir! I kept rolling my eyes listening to those stupid lyrics.

I think this guy considers himself kind of a comedian. He did some videos a while back where he makes outrageous claims about VV (like he should have been on the Crue/Leppard stadium tour, but VV would be the headliner). It seemed to get a positive reaction, as his assistant at the time (I do not be...

I was at the show. LA Guns sounded great. They never did introduce the drummer....he was just a mystery player up on stage, but he sounded great. Thanks to the post above, now I know a name. I was surprised they didn't play 'Nothin' Better To Do' with Kelly being in the band. But they did 3 of their...

The one that stands out the most to me is when LA Guns played a pizza place in South Windsor, CT. It was the Riley/Lewis/Scotty line-up. I think they had the Stacy on guitar at the time. I was so underwhelmed by the new album. I have been a fan for years, and can't believe they are not more popular in the world of those of us stuck in the late 80s/early 90s. They consistently put out great albums. This one just felt like a color-by-numbers album that wasn't very creative or inspired.

Take out the cover songs no one cares about, the new songs that do not go over well live, and all the extended jam sessions and solos.
It's not that hard to figure out.

I think the problem comes from the multitude of sites that charge excessive shipping. I was going to buy a t-shirt off some site that supports animal rescues. I liked the shirt and the cause, so I was good with it. But then the cost to ship a t-shirt was about $15. I'm not cheap, but I'm also not st...
