Re: TWISTED SISTER: Reunion Offers 'Getting Close' To Impossible To Refuse

Can someone more in the know than I am float an educated guess as to how much money Dee's talking about? I mean, we're talking about Twisted Sister here not Iron Maiden, or even Judas Priest or Alice Cooper. They can't be looking at more than a handful of festival shows and after expenses and splits...

Between this and Clutch doing two nights at the Stanley, and five nights total in Colorado next month I'm really regretting the fact that I moved last summer. Enjoy the show.

I'd do the same thing in G&P's shoes. Take the money and enjoy your golden years. Time will tell if this will be a worthwhile investment or not, but this company is probably going to have to work pretty hard over the next few years to see a good ROI and I wouldn't be shocked if G&P have heft...

I think they should go with the CEO next, then work their way through the board until every single one of us has sung for Skid Row, and then and only then throw Baz a bone and let him do a song or two at an outdoor county fair in Nebraska in the middle of January

Reading his “writing” will make you lose a brain cell or two. More like a couple IQ points. The fact that the rest of the guys Ratt reunited just to spite this clown when he tried to hijack the name says everything about what kind of world class asshole he must be. We know this already of course an...

Re: New “Road House” movie

Watching it in a couple hours with the girlfriend. Expectations are low but we've each got our poison of choice (edible for her, bourbon and Arrogant Bastard for me) and I think the worse it is, the more we're going to enjoy it. I've pretty much lost interest in movies and TV shows but I've got to a...

Re: Famous people you saw live AFTER they were famous and were back to playing dumps?

I saw Ace Frehley at a big bar/small club type place in the mid 90's. He was so drunk he almost walked off the front of the stage until his drummer grabbed him by the back of his shirt. Saw Great White at the same place. Vince had a solo show booked there but canceled day of. Word has it when his bu...

That sums it up for me too. I've noticed a good number of younger fans at the last few Clutch shows I've been to but there are still plenty of us there who are as old as the band is.

Dice, as in Andrew Clay. I never thought the guy was remotely funny. He was a foul mouthed third generation ripoff/caricature of a 50's greaser by way of Arthur Fonzarelli and Danny Zuko. I didn't get it when I was 17 and I don't get it now when guys like Bill Burr give him so much love. Everything ...

There are so many ways to cheat with those things, even more if they use their phone. Our insurance company gives us some incentives if we link up through an app that tracks our steps, and I usually do at least 15,000 a day, sometimes as high as 25,000 and I easily hit all the arbitrary goals and ge...

51, got some grey in my beard, and have to piss 3-4 times throughout the night but still have plenty of hair, can still see my feet, all my equipment works fine, don't need reading glasses quite yet (though the adjustable font on my Kindle probably has some to do with that.) One podcaster, and a music mashup guy, I think one is $3 and the other one is $5: Andrew Hickey - A History Of Rock Music In 500 songs. I can't recommend this podcast enough if you're a music fan. The audio quality isn't great, and his voice takes some getting used to, but the amount of research he'...

Jason McMaster and his sidekick Metal Dave did a pretty in depth interview with the filmmakers on their podcast Talk Louder. Jason isn't great as an interviewer or conversationalist but it was still a pretty interesting interview.

Another big one for me is nostalgia. I can't stand the idea of constantly reminiscing and being stuck in the past. I can appreciate the irony that I'm posting this on a hair metal message board I've been on for 25 years but I was never here to talk about the good old days. Sure, a story or two is fi...

Sports. I don't judge anyone for being sports fan, except for a couple people I know who never shut the fuck up about their favorite teams and assume I'm as into them as they are, but overall I just don't see the appeal of being a sports fan at all.

The Mandela Effect, any believers? Skeptics?

Anyone believe it's a real thing? Any theories or personal experiences? I find the idea pretty intriguing but I'm a skeptic and just can't buy into it. I've experienced enough situations over the years where my memory conflicts with someone else who experienced the exact thing at the same time that ...

I'll spare most of the details to keep this short but my girlfriend's family is at war because of a pitbull attack. We're talking major facial lacerations, stitches, and a pretty bad infection. The owner of the dog is a a deadbeat loser (late 20's, single dad, unemployed) and refuses to take respons...

Just a guess but I'll bet his dancing is like his singing. Technically not great, but his innate Daveness keeps him from looking like Elaine from Seinfeld. As a singer, he's a great front man and as a dancer, he's a great court jester.

Re: KERRY KING: Single, lineup and album release date

He's got Mustaine levels of bitterness going on. I guess being a trash talker is part of his schtick, but it's not really a good look when you're pushing 60. "Araya won't talk to me" "Lombardo is dead to me" I can understand him wanting to ride Slayer out for another 10 years but...
