Re: Been a while since we had a heartwarming Wolfgang Van Halen tale

Just download the Looney Tunes double bootleg cd and they would have had all these songs ready and collected. All that shit was available since the mid to late 90's. I could have given Ed or Dave a copy within 15 minutes. Nice to see in 2024 a reference to a little project me and my Cornell Uni VHM...

Re: Scorpions w/ Uli...if they toured

Scorps should've mined those old albums the same way Coverdale did the old Whitesnake lps I can't see "He's a Woman She's a Man" or "Steamrock Fever" blowing up MTV in 1987 even with a Mutt Lange production and Claudia Schiffer dancing on a BMW. Claudia Schiffer was still 17 in ...

Re: Scorpions w/ Uli...if they toured

Scorps should've mined those old albums the same way Coverdale did the old Whitesnake lps The difference is Whitesnake was an arena band in the UK and parts of Europe and had minor hits that could have been bigger with a better image and more label push. Scorpions were doing fine in Europe but AFAI...

Neither is the dumbest in their respective bands IMO. I'm not even sure Criss was the dumbest DRUMMER Kiss had.

Finished listening to it last night. Fight of Your Life kicks ass, has a 70's feel to it, like something off of Killing Machine. The intro riff reminds me of Delivering the Goods off KM aka HBFL. Great tune. Just saw some youtube videos from the first show of the Invincible Shield tour. Band sounde...

Re: DUMB & DUMBER ... Who are the Dumbest musicians in rock n' roll?

There is definitely something wrong in Vinnie Vincent’s head. Vinnie sure has problems but low IQ isn't one of them. I suspect the opposite, that he was at least on Gene and Paul's level and they didn't know how to handle him. They were used to have dumbasses without drive in the band - Criss, Ace,...

Re: JUDAS PRIEST: Streaming new album

Wouldn't that be great if Halford's Priest and KK's Priest were on the same bill? They could agree to not play any of the same songs. What a night that would be! In a perfect world, they would open for Les Binks' Priesthood and Sinner Owens would be banned from ever singing any Priest song not from...

I loved Heavens Edge and had seen them plenty of times at the local clubs. They're label really dropped the ball on them. But they've went on to do well for themselves individually. Cool. Wish I had seen them but my only (?) chance was Firefest in 2013. They actually had a show booked in Sweden, a ...

You know, the more we learn about Wolf the more I’m wondering if he pulled the same trick Hagar did when he joined and pretty much usurped control of the band since Ed was out of his mind on substances and easy to control. We always assumed it was Ed who booted Sauce. Maybe Wolf was angling for the...

It's still tainted by Scott Travis drumming for me. I wish it was done with a simple 70s drummer who doesn't carpet bomb everything with double bass drums... Someone call Les Binks. And the newer songs aren't Scott's biggest problem. On 70s and 80s Priest songs live, Travis sounds as off as disco d...

Two good songs: "Rock You Like a Hurricane" and "Wind of Change." The rest is filler. Overrated filler. No one listens to the Scorpions. Who is "Uli"? Windxof Change I get, it's different even to their other ballads, but how can you like Hurricane and not any of about ...

God no. Why would anyone want that? These guys have big enough egos already and they shouldn't. Manowar's first show was opening for Ted Nugent in 1982. Setlist.fm has their first show at the 5k+ El Paso County Coliseum, it's maybe not 100% the first but it must have been the type of venue Nugent played at the time.

VV's third singer would be Mark Slaughter. Göran Edman (John Norum, Madison) recorded with Vinnie after Fleischman left but the label or management wanted an American pretty boy instead of that balding dorky looking foreigner with a great voice. There was Jeff Scott Soto at some point too, so Board ...

I never play my vinyls and if those I still have weren't signed or (somewhat) rare I'd probably get rid of them.
