There you go. I didn't realized Nuno was singing the verses until I saw this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FS_rgTWkf94 I was able to tell on the record. Re: Stones Annoucement w/ Jimmy Fallon

"Angry".... song is meh.

Stones haven't made a truly good record since 1982. Since then there's been enough really good songs to fill maybe 3 full length albums. The last tune I genuinely liked was "Doom And Gloom" from 2012.

Re: Carnival of Souls = Oops! All "Unholy"

Overall, I like the songs on Carnival of Souls. The production kills it for me. Drums sound dry and flat. Imagine a song like "Hate" having big Revenge-style production. I posted a link to "Rain" recently as an example of KISS' grunge phase. It didn't sound bad after not hearing...

We did get flown to LA for labels, but by that time we were in our mis 40s. Ain’t nobody got time for that. I do like this album and period in his career but not sure I’d drop that kind of money for the box, but looks great. I didn’t bite either for Sign o’ the Times, but it’s not one of my favourites of his, despite the critical acclaim. Alot of these boxes you end up hardly listening to the extra discs...

No, that band broke up in 2008. I got tired of sitting in my studio writing songs while everyone else was out partying, golfing and fishing. Both Ultraphobic and Belly To Belly have outstanding songs muddled by bare bones production. Anyone else get this one, yet? For my money, this is easily the best Buckcherry (or what's left of them) since Time Bomb . Really good riffs throughout. IMO, the latest CD (Vol 10) and the previous (Helbound) are both pretty good/solid. Certainly helping: Having a hit doctor co-write most of the re...

As an album, Permanent Vacation.

Get A Grip has a handful of outstanding songs (even better than PV, and up there with Pump), but half the record is filler, or that stupid Cryinamazacrazy bullshit.

Another Josh nutswinger here. Easily their strongest album since Era Vulgaris, but I cannot stand the snare sound. Both FF and Queens have opted to go for the most lifeless in-the-red-yet-soft-sounding snare sounds this time around and it’s the only sound for the entire record. The songs are great,...

There is a logic to the idea that those early Van Halen records were meant to be listened to in a shitty car stereo or boombox. Those early records, as far as recording technique, was not that elaborate. It could be argued that the Hagar records had more going on in those multitracks. Other than may...
