Re: El Toro's Official Guitarded Thread...

Totally gay. You can get a 4x12 for peanuts nowadays. Don't pay a premium because it is an Orange and has hipster cred.

Shit, my currrent main cab has 4x12" EV12Ls in it, and I only paid $375.

Re: El Toro's Official Guitarded Thread...

I just got a Palmer PGA-4...it is a speaker emulator with a built-in load box for recording direct. You just plug your amp in one side and a mic cable in the other. Pretty cool so far.

Ah.

Let me just make this clear: there was no point at which I was either implying or inferring that you had set up your guitars on your porn-viewing couch.

Seriously, I would never do a thing like that.

Re: El Toro's Official Guitarded Thread...

Yah. I just have too much shit, but am too lazy to ebay it all... I just went through a $1000 pedal buying binge trying to get a sound for Dokken day over the last few months and now I need to unload most of them, lol. (Ended up just using my sansamp and DD5) ...but there are a couple pieces I need....

Re: El Toro's Official Guitarded Thread...

No no no no no.

Guitar=>everything but delay=>amp.

Loop out=>delay=>loop in.

Throw out pedal pad. Just because it is unnecessary.

You should buy my Rebel 20... :mrgreen:

Re: El Toro's Official Guitarded Thread...

Shouldn't be a problem. I was asking because a lot of the higher end tube amps (like Marshall) have loop levels that aren't set up for pedals (fucking retarded...who uses rack shit anymore?) and you need to use a buffer to get back to unity gain... But you should be fine. Transistor shit seldom care...

Re: El Toro's Official Guitarded Thread...

Throw out the pedal pad and noise gate. Put everything except the carbon copy in the loop. (Phase 90 SHOULD be out front. Chorus could go either way, but I prefer it hitting the preamp) Personally, I'd throw out the Carbon Copy too, and get something with a tap tempo. Once you start using the loop, ...

Re: El Toro's Official Guitarded Thread...

Nah,the Marshall on its own sounded too good. :mrgreen:

I just used the clean channel of the Marshall and ran a Sansamp in my pedalboard for the distortion...

I also had an eq doing TONS of mid-boost.

Pickup was GFS Retrotron hot Nashville. Really good for that guitar...

Yah. The back of the pots is the common ground. If you look, it is all tied into the "ring" of the output jack. (As opposed to the "tip" which is live).

Re: El Toro's Official Guitarded Thread...

Those are grounding wires. The trem has to be grounded, and the other ones go to the conductive paint that shields the pup cavities, which also must be grounded to work well.

As for colors, evry manufacturer has their own scheme...just download whatev.

Tracii also ALWAYS had a DS-1 on...the fucker. I tried to break him of that habit, but it never happened! :mrgreen:

I used to use a GE-7 with a "frown" curve to push the front end of a 2203 into chunk~very good setup, that. No flubby weirdness in the lows.

Re: El Toro's Official Guitarded Thread...

I thought about that...but I think the happy combo for this sort of nonsense includes a tube power amp...

Love try the pedal tho. How sweet would it be to walk into a gig with just the pedalboard?
