How did we miss MC94’s 30th anniversary yesterday?!?

Time to celebrate a day late! It’s one of the Sludge Holy Trinity, for crying out loud! Somebody should have reminded someone on here!

I was thinking you might have been at the '87 Ratt/Poison Spectrum show I mentioned. IIRC, didn't ya you were working for one of those two bands at the time?

Right on 2000. Most of my formed school memories happened in the late 80's and 90's.

Ratt and Dave for me, though Queensryche would be a close third behind those two.

Re: We don't talk nearly enough about Savage Amusement

"Rhythm of Love" is indeed a good first single. "Passion Rules the Game" and "Every Minute Every Day" are solid as well. It's not the Scorps' best album, but it's still fairly solid.

Not a Sludge band, but still a goddamned new wave rock classic. They were fully into the MTV era with the videos for “You Might Think”, “Magic”, “Drive”, “Hello Again”, etc. And the music is just so perfect and polished. Thoughts on this one, Sludgers?

I figured everyone knew this awesome song. Sorry I will provide a link: https://youtu.be/DP_sL9Hw1Jc?si=Nkqmqypvf5de_xRx Not everyone here recognizes it, but I enjoy it. The whole Fuel For Your Soul album is fairly decent hair metal. No mind-blowingly standout tracks, but "Out in the Cold"...

Both great examples of solid early 80's pop (okay, pop country with the former), but I'll give Dolly and her jugs the nod.

Never mind, Mattley. Slash decided to show up for the Ken song! It was kind of over the top, but that was to be expected.

Calling it now: Oppenheimer wins best picture, Nolan wins best director, Lily Gladstone wins best actress. Barbie gets America Ferrera and Ryan Gosling the supporting actress and actor wins, but that's about it for Barbie. Any other picks?

Broncos trade another starter (Jerry Jeudy) to the Browns for some draft picks. Denver’s been in crisis mode for the past season or so, haven’t they?

Pats are finally done with Mac Jones and send him packing to the Jags, most likely to be Trevor’s backup. No surprise there.
