Death Proof - 8.5/10
One of my favorite Tarentino offerings.
Is there anymore disgusting scene than watching Kurt Russell eat Nachos?

Transformers - Dark Of The Moon. 4/5 Good solid film with great SFX and CGI. Just what I was anticipating. I shake my head everytime I read a negative review of this film. It's Michael Bay directing shit blowing up for 2.5 hours. See also The Rock, Bad Boys 1 & 2, Armageddon...... If you walk in...

Book of Eli. 8.5/10
Really good film with a genuine twist ending I didn't see coming. Denzel Washington is awesome in pretty much anything.

My Bloody Valentine (2009) 6/10
I actually liked it better than the original which was very boring. Sadly it was very predictable. Nice visuals and I'm sure it must have been very good in the theaters in 3D.

Home alone with the kids this weekend so I've had Netflix beaming me some sanity: House Of Fears - 6.5/10. Not too bad. Kind of a modern take on the old Waxwork movie. Dance Of The Dead - 8/10. Night of the Living Dead goes to the Prom. I liked it. Zombies Zombies Zombies - 0/10. 20 minutes in and I...

My all time favorite Western. You could release it today and it wouldn't seem out of date.

Ghost Ship - 3.5/5
Not too bad. Nice opening sequence with the metal cable slicing through the folks on the dance floor. Interesting twist in the ending. Kinda reminded me of Event Horizon at sea.

The Crazies (Remake) 7.5/10
Good solid remake of a Romero classic. Nice that he served on this one as Executive Producer. I like Tim Olyphant as an actor too.

Star Trek - 10/10 Gene Roddenberry would be proud. They cast this one perfectly and the story is fantastic. JJ Abrahams did a great job in creating a film that encourages new fans while not alienating fans of the original series. Having Leonard Nimoy play a pivotal character and not just a cameo for...

Just watched Hostel and Hostel II back-to-back. Had never seen them before but the local buy/sell/trade DVD shop had them for $7 each. These are both also the Unrated Directors Cut versions too.
Hostel - 8/10
Hostel II - 8.5/10
One of the rare instances where I felt the sequel was better.

I think my only gripe is that it is always in either a dome (no messy weather elements) or some part of the country where it never gets below 70 degrees. Make this shit interesting and put all the cities in a lottery. Every season we pick a new city and rain, shine, tsunami, snow, these bastards wil...

My Science Project. 7.5/10
I haven't seen this film in 20+ years. Not to bad for mindless 80's escapism. John Stockwell (who played Cougar in Top Gun), Fisher Stevens and Dennis Hopper are in this. The special effects aren't too bad as this was done in 1985.

Pretty good film. It's a movie about a bunch of MIT uber-geniuses who figure out how to beat BlackJack in Las Vegas. Kevin Spacy and Lawrence Fishburn are in it.

Dude Where's My Car? 0/10 Seriously this movie was fucking awful. I had never seen it before. Decided to watch it the other night and even though I didn't pay I still want my money back. I wasn't expecting much, based on the title, but I was hoping for more than what I got. I never thought Master Of...

Night At The Museum 2 - 7/10
Not quite the surprise the first film was. But still a decent viewing. Granted there were plot holes you could drive a Sherman tank through. Amy Adams is HOT as Amelia Earhart.

Miss Congeniality - 8/10 For some reason my wife and I have been on a Sandra Bullock movie kick lately. Miss Congeniality was the most recent one we watched. It's just a fun film. Michael Caine steals every scene that he is in. Has a good well rounded supporting cast....Shatner, Bergen, Bratt, Hudso...
