I saw them open for Sebastian Bach with Lizzy, and then my band opened for them at the Whisky with Jesse. They were great both times and I enjoyed both of the albums that I had, though I think they may have had three. Also pleasant enough guys to talk to.

Eddie specifically said he say Page do it first. Van Halen was also a big Brian May fan, and Brian was tapping at least as early as Frehley was. I'd say it's more likely that he "got some ideas" from May than he did Frehley.

He wasn't a liberal so therefore he is a racist. Liberal mentality. Someone from the opposite political party I subscribe to has a differing opinion this one time, so I'll sum up their entire persona in as reductive a way as I can and judge an entire group based on it. Everyone's mentality, these d...

Yeah, because a song that glorifies lynching is about racial harmony right? 99% of the time, you and I are on this same page. Centipedes give me the fuckng creeps. Spiders, snakes, etc, don't really bother me, not that I'm going to seek them out. But centipedes legit freak me out.

If you're Jewish, how can you eat a real Reuben? They aren't kosher. Forgive my ignorance, I don't know how that shit works.

Nobody finds it strange I think sad is a far better word. They both make sense. Trump makes sense because he's a cult leader and has a cult. His presence is a massive ratings boost no matter what the leaning of the network is. Makes sense he'd be kept in the public eye, and cultists aren't known fo...

I was visiting my aunt in Denver, CO as a five or six year old kid. I had just seen The Wizard of Oz like a day or two before. Tornado warnings sounded and we hunkered down in the basement. I was freaked the fuck out thinking we were going to be whisked away to foreign lands. You could see it out th...

I first heard Queen's New of the World on vinyl and just thought my turntable was fucking up "Sheer Heart Attack." Finally heard the song on CD a while later. Nope. They did that bullshit on purpose.

Wow. I've had a lot of fun with the Cellicion family from Zuni. https://nativestars.com/fernando-cellicion/ We worked together several times at the NM state fair, where we'd be there for 12 hours a day, for two weeks. Fernando and Fran named me, "White Guy Sound Man." They lost a poker ha...

Similar but lower budget - I've been wearing Casio digitals for forty years... :D I generally don’t like digital watches, but I wear one at work. Fun band with fun songs, and I'd say CC is actually underrated. His vibrato absolutely sounds like someone on coke, but his solos are often melodic, tasteful, and have a surprising amount of flash in them. I can see why insecure dudes might hate on them, but I think they're fun.

Re: Whitesnake - Still of the Night (isolated Sykes guitar tracks)
Great tone, one of the best riffs/songs of the genre, but I always thought the solo spot was kind of wasted. As impressive as it is technically, it's really just scale wank. I would have liked something a little more thought out and groovy for a song like that.
