Re: Monsters of Rock cruise (West) 2016 - Ratt - Back for More

When these MORC clips were revealed here on this site, it was a huge day for Sludge. This appearance was hyped up IIRC.Outside of the band politics, they could’ve toured this lineup until kingdom come. This is 6 to 8 months before Bobby’s RATT venture collapsed. Re: Jani Lane would have been 60 today

Hopefully resting in peace. One of the best songwriters of his genre. He would have been 60 today. Went way too early. He left us with songs that have stood the test of time. Far from perfect but he was a talent for sure. He was good. I was a fan but I don’t get all the Sludge love he gets. I would...

Re: Has anyone got any more of those facts?

Richie Sambora beat out Snake Sabo in Bon Jovi. After that, Snake promised himself he wouldn't try out for other bands. Yep. After Sebastian Bach got fired, Snake Sabo never had another hit. That doesn’t matter, it’s all about having a band you can get along with while driving your peppermint bus d...

Dylan mentions Neil young in “highlands”

Motley Crue mentions a bunch of celebs in ‘use it or lose it’

Neil young names Johnny rotten in ‘hey hey my my’

Def Leppard names major Tom, sgt pepper & others in ‘rocket’

Re: Hair metal shows in 96/97/98

I remember Faster Pussycat played a laundromat! Never heard of LA Guns playing at a pizza place though! That sounds like fun actually! :) That couldn't have been the 90's though. Stacey Blades was in the band 2004-12. I saw LA Guns at a pizza place in 2019 I saw them a few years earlier at a really...

Re: Hair metal shows in 96/97/98

The one that stands out the most to me is when LA Guns played a pizza place in South Windsor, CT. It was the Riley/Lewis/Scotty line-up. I think they had the Stacy on guitar at the time. The band was so high, they barely made it though the show, and the small crowd that was there really thinned out...

John5 is a dorky clown who can really play guitar. He’s not even remotely suited for Motley. Especially since it seems that a lot of the “live” show is Memorexed……fuck that. Definitely Vince solo just as long as he would have a REAL drummer and not that clown Zoltan (or whatever the fuck his name i...

Re: Blind Melon were better than Pearl Jam

Well, this simply isn't true. I bought the CD. Was average at best. Nothing memorable on it besides the overplayed bumblebee song. If that dude wasn't in a GnR video and didn't die...they'd just be another one hit Wonder. Like the Screaming Trees. Screaming trees had several albums and were almost ...
