I was aware of other flavors Barq's had since they were an independent entity before coca cola acquired them.DemonFilth2001 wrote:Never seen that before. HMZ...as the site soft drink expert, have you?

Big Red is a right of passage in Texas. Dr Pepper is consumed more than water. And Faygo is at every Dollar store.
Here you can go into the Mexican markets and get Coke (classic type bottle), DP, Pepsi with real sugar. Same with the HEB franchises here, they make their own brand of...well, everything. Their Wild Red and Cream Soda are excellent, not as harsh.
Fucking Shasta! That used to be the soda you'd see on every damn sitcom. They sell it by the pallet at Dollar stores. Hires really takes me back. Haven't seen that in forever. I loved Red Fusion when it came out. Even the ice afterwards tasted good. Surge was good too. I hate Mountain Dew but the Blue flavor is excellent.
My parents drank nothing but soda. Water was a foreign concept. I got smart when I was 17 and started drinking mostly water/Crystal Light. My only vice now is Gatorade.
Friend of mine, his parents were big soda heads. He was never fat, just short & chubby. Stopped drinking soda entirely and the pounds melted off. Now he's ripped. Go figure.

The birthplace and early years, yes, sadly.
And they don't let you attempt to forget that Dr Pepper was born here. There's a museum downtown and a small installment in the airport. Now they're more known for White People Renovating Houses...I mean, Fixer Upper. Ughhhhhh.

There was one across the street from an all nude strip club in Columbia, SC when I was in college. Place was BYOB. We'd go to the Pig, load up the cooler with shit beer, then go across the street to waste our money.Turner Coates wrote:The last town where I saw a Piggly Wiggly store was Waco.

Apparently Faygo is only available in 2 different convenience stores in the Charlotte area. Neither are close to me. I'll have to make a special trip.
