Usually restaurants do business either coke or pepsi products and the occasional dr pepper snapple company products as well. You never see RC Cola being served in fountains anymore.

Gotta be Coke all the way. But many restaurants don't maintain their fountain machines properly (amounts of syrup and carbonation are too low/high, filter is dirty) so it's always a gamble to order soda in a restaurant. I think the fast food places probably maintain the fountains better because they sell so much volume and it's a key part of their business.
