I definitely don't think everybody should have heard of every big artists. But one could argue it is a bit surprising that you haven't heard of them, since they were formed in 1999 and have been one of the most well known and biggest metal bands on a global lever for ages.

They're pretty damn popular and definitely more than a "laptop band". Ronnie Radke might be human garbage, but he's also one of the luckiest sons of bitches out there. Had a record contract basically handed to him on a silver platter when he got out of prison and went on to completely eclipse his former band to the point they opened for him.

I think it's the best album they have done. Took a minute to get into but it's amazing.

I'm not sure how anybody on this board hasn't heard of Avenged Sevenfold. They've had 5 records go platinum and have had numerous #1s on active rock radio. They've also been on some huge tours. Metallica took them out in 2017.

Anyway, do yourself a favor and listen to this album from them. There's also an instrumental version of this record and that's almost just as cool.

What is a laptop band?

Falling in Reverse were scheduled to perform at the WIIL Rock Fest 2022 in Illinois but withdrew from the Fest after the laptops they use for their set went missing. The founder of the band Ronnie Radke sent a video statement to the radio station behind the Fest and the station posted it online. In the video he talked about the reason for canceling the show and said "And as a band in 2022, you need your laptops, you know? It's like driving a car without an engine.
