The vocals are bland and generic.
The guitar is safe and sounds like radio-friendly alternative rock.

Those 2 snippets with Corabi from years ago blow away the 2 new songs Mick released. I don't think this is what people were expecting.

I don’t think this is what Mick Mars was expecting either.

I like this song more than the first but it still sounds like mud to my ears.

It's a bit like listening to Slash's solo stuff: Myles gets on your nerves after a while just like this Jacob guy...

Sounds like a cool riff for a few seconds and then it disappears in the muck.

I definitely was not expecting middle of the road radio drivel from a Mick Mars solo album. This is sounding like a Jacob Bunton/Paul Taylor album featuring Mick Mars.

Better than the first single, the riff is cool but overall it's just too generic. Still think he should have kept working with Corabi.
It's not like he was in a rush to release the album in 6 months or anything.

Decent riff, over produced modern crap. Not at all what I expected. Very dissapointing.

“ It was produced by Michael Wagener, who was the mixing engineer on Mötley Crüe's debut album Too Fast for Love.”

Once again they felt the need to use every modern piece of technology in their toolbox. Complete opposite of loud obnoxious in your face Rock N Roll that everyone was expecting. It's almost as if they had no choice but to cover up for something.

Pretty much feel like everyone else. First 5 seconds are awesome. Then it sounds like it could be about 20 other bands.
It's not terrible, just not very original or memorable.

I stand by my original claim that DJ Ashba is still ghosting all of Mick's parts even though it's Mick's solo album.

This sounds just like Sixx: AM.

It's funny, if this was a Motley Crue song, I'd think that they obviously got somebody else to play Mick's guitar parts. As it's been said, it still sounds like DJ Ashba is playing his parts. The solos are so underwhelming. Mick bitched about not liking Motley's musical direction over the years and he finally puts out a solo CD that sounds more generic than any Motley songs. There's a reason Jacob Bunton has been at the same level his entire career. Fine singer but no personality and sounds like 20 other modern rock guys.

Props to Mick for showing up in the videos though. That's more physical movement I've seen out of Mick than I have in the last 20 years. I guess it doesn't say much when simply walking and moving your arms around is impressive.

Better than the first tune but still massively underwhelming...

Overall, this song is better than the previous one, however, it still falls within "the below average" realm.

Decent enough song. I listen to it a few times in the car on the way home tonight. I didn’t mind it. I like it better than the first song. Hopefully there will be better tracks on the album.

I forgot what it sounded like right after I listened to it, so went back and listened to it again. Still pretty fucking generic. I think I preferred the first single, at least that had some balls to it. However, the solos on both are so short, I'm not sure how you're supposed to get MICK MARS out of either.

I'll be passing on this unless I see it somewhere for a couple bucks. Curious to hear what those new Motley tracks sound like in comparison.

they need to do something simple, raw naked guitars as two fast for love, kinda rhoads or early W.A.S.P.

Horrible….both songs. That singer should go back to washing dishes. Corabi was the guy and Mick blew it

The songs really seem "bought". As in wrote by someone else or a generic team. Paint by the numbers crap and far from what Mick claimed to be going for. It's like he was told "Look...your songs have little appeal and are not going to sell much". He then spent some of the Crue cash hoping to get more of a return on investment hiring outside writers. Songs are too modern for his style and age.

Just my opinion. What do I know?

Sounds like Mick said “Here’s some riffs, solos and noise … you guys make some songs”.

After all these years it sounds rushed and not Mick’s vision at all. IMO

Oh great. First of all it will be out in 50 years, second of all, it will probably be even more generic.

MICK MARS Already Has 'Four Pretty Solid Ideas' For Second Solo Album

In a new interview with Katie Daryl of AXS TV's "Now Listen", MÖTLEY CRÜE guitarist Mick Mars confirmed that he has commenced work on his second solo album. "I've already got four pretty solid ideas that are a little more — it's not advanced," he explained. "It's like more in a direction of 'Undone' [from Mick's upcoming solo debut, 'The Other Side Of Mars'] or something more cinematic, but it's still pretty thick."
