I wouldn't mind seeing this if it ends up at the Arcada. Saxon was great when I saw them back in 2016 or so, and that was with not knowing any of the material.

Was that the show with Armored Saint opening? If so I was at that one, too. And met all the Saxon guys afterward, who were cool as hell. The Arcada is a great venue.

Yep, that was the one. I was going more for Armored Saint, so Saxon being good was a nice bonus.

It must be liberating for a band(s) with zero hits to pick a set list.

Saxon may not have "hits" as such especially in the US, but at least half their set is "must play" classics. Crusader, Power & The Glory, Princess of the Night, 747, Wheels of Steel... 20 000 Ft, Motorcycle Man and Heavy Metal Thunder may not be my faves but most of the audience want to hear them too.

And still great live too.

Was quite bored with Saxon last time, too many samy double-bass songs.

That was a great show. Saxon put out a live album & DVD from that show too. Good shit.

Great catalog imo.
I don’t understand how people don’t like them.
Almost every song has a great riff.

I know almost no UH songs.

Yeah. UH only has 1 or 2 songs people may have heard. So not knowing any isn't unusual.

Saxon isn't bad. Just very generic / average British metal. Some good stuff, but nothing as memorable as bands like Grim Reaper.
