That's a tough one to narrow down.

I'm torn between the funkier, Roxy Music sounding songs like "Girls on Film" or "Rio" and the slower yet great songs like "Save a Prayer" and "Ordinary World".

I don’t necessarily have a fave, but “leave a light on” is at the top.

‘Wild boys’ is keyed at least a step too high - painful to hear

Breath After Breath because of its melodies and the beautiful vocals by Brazilian singer Milton Nascimento in Portuguese. He added some poetiic flavour to the song.

I agree 100%! I had the night version 12” before seeing the uncut version of the video on Playboy Hot Rocks!! Holy shit that was amazing at the time!! I’d only seen the short version on MTV. They weren’t about to play the night version!

"Ordinary World"

Why? Reminds of weekends my freshman year in high school, hanging out at the park.

A View to a Kill, because it’s genius 80’s pop and my favourite Bond theme.

Friday Night Videos...wasn't that the show on TBS that began at 12:05am and ended at 5:05am (or something like that)? I'd stay up all night in high school after getting home from wherever since our town did not get MTV until several years later. Great memories.

I'd be curious to know what, if any, knowledge of music theory any of these guys had. A lot of their songs aren't as simple as they sound. My guess would be Andy probably had the most technical music knowledge in the band. It's amazing that guy has been married to the same woman since '84. Now that I think about it even more amazing is the fact that Simon has been as well. That is a TON of passed up pussy...well maybe.

John Taylor is one of the best bassists I've ever heard. Those first two albums had some amazing bass parts on them and he was barely 20 years old and had only been playing bass for 4 or 5 years at that point. He is almost suspiciously good.

I've wondered over the years how he was that fucking good in the studio at that age as well. The playing is astounding. I've seen the clips of him doing it live so yes he has the chops but actually writing all those lines and having that groove (this is before digital editing) is really something.

As for my favorite DD song its Hungry Like The Wolf. That song is actually in my top 5 songs of all time, easily.

I think you're talking about Night Flight on USA Network . That went all night and played stupid shit like Reefer Madness and had musicians on and videos . It was awesome.
