DISILLUSION. One of the greatest albums ever made by anybody.
Thunder in the East is also excellent.
Getting rid of Minoru and replacing him with Vescera is the biggest mistake they ever made. Don't listen to that guy

Lightning Strikes.
Has "Shadows of War" and "Let it Go." Worth the price of admission alone.
Akira is great of course, but the rhythm section is insane.
Some people can't get by the accent, which I get, but if it doesn't bother you, it's some of the very best 80s metal.

Yes, yes and yes. Disillusion is the best "heavy metal" album you could ever wish for.Demon Kogure wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 5:02 am DISILLUSION. One of the greatest albums ever made by anybody.

Thunder in the East and lightning strikes are classics. Love em both, but their album called the sun will rise again from 2014 is also excellent. You should check that one out too.

Re: You there, Loudness fans
Love these guys...
My biased opinions are as follows in no particular order:
1. Disillusion... just an amazing album that sounds dated but at the same time, very strong songwriting.
2. Soldier of Fortune... Yummy late 80's pop metal with great songs.
3. Once and For All... killer live album when popularity was fading with Masaki from EZO singing.
4. Thunder in the East... Dang good mid-80's metal album. They had the shit sound locked in good here.
5. Live-Loud-Alive... Excellent live album with early material that has much enthusiasm.
In my opinion, only two good songs on Lightning Strikes is Shadows of War & Dark Desire. The rest is cheeeeeeesy shit.
Great places to start though!
