When we were in our early twenties, we always wore the shirt from the previous band we had seen.
Except Trevor, he had a Mercyful Fate tee, that he ordered through the fan club.
When it arrived, it had a note saying he was the first person from Australia to purchase one.
He always wore that one.

I got this from a guitar player I was playing with, he didn't want me to wear the band t-shirt on stage. So I didn't. But I see bands pull it off now, I think it looks OK most of the time.

Dave Murray is the first I can recall doing this, always with the sleeves hacked off.
I wonder if at some gig somewhere he left his stage costume in the drier and had to improvise.
