I like some of them, but they seem hit or miss.. no real QC.

I love 8 and 12 string basses. I blew it when GC blew out some Hamer 12's for $300!

I haven't got anything new yet, but I'm bumping this thread anyway. Maybe some of the lurkers that have been popping up lately would like to add to the thread. Also, tax returns are around the corner.

Anybody got any gear purchase plans this year? What's on your wishlist?

I'm very pleased with my newest acquisitions. The Schecter does exactly what I want it to. The ES-135 sounds and plays great. And the Eleven Rack... the more I experiment with it, the more I love it. I probably won't be making any more guitar purchases for a little while, as I need to deal with my non-functional studio computer first.

I would like to get something like that this year. An affordable hollow body. I went to the Waterstone website, but they don't seem to be carrying hollow bodies anymore. I saw a couple of them on Ebay though. That Godin I posted a few pages ago is still in the running.

The ES-135 is actually a semi-hollowbody. I don't believe they produce the 135 anymore anyway. I was also considering getting an Epiphone Casino, which is a hollowbody, preferably the Japanese-made Elitist version, although I don't know if that would be outside of your definition of "affordable".

Get a fucking Casino if you want full hollow.

If you want something in a more versatile semi-hollow (the Casino will moo like a stuck cow with moderate distortion) go for an Epiphone Riviera.

Has anyone here played one of these Jet City amps that are designed by Mike Soldano and built in China? $299 for the 20W head.

I played it when I was shopping. It seemed to be more classic rock than metal. I thought it was a good deal for the price.

I could be biased, since I have the sol designed yamaha.

Touch sensitive fuzz with enhanced clarity - more towards the smoothness of an overdrive than an all out raunch. What do yall suggest?

Dude, that's not a Soloist. Jackson Soloists are neck-through body, that is a bolt-on neck so it is a Dinky of some sort. Beautiful guitar though!

Thought I'd let you know before you get 500 emails from members of the Jackson guitar forum!
