Has anyone tried an M5 yet? I like the M9, but I don't need the big block on the floor.

Does anybody have any opinions on Rivera amps? I played through one today and loved it. I may have to get one.

Re: El Toro's Official Guitarded Thread...
I tried out a Quiana and a Knucklehead. Both 2x12 combos. Both sounded awesome. I think I liked the controls of the Quiana a bit better but they were very similar. First amps I've tried in a while that get the exact dirty AND clean sounds I like. Amazing tone. Kinda pricey but I think I can chisel these guys down on it.

The knucklehead is a great head/combo depending what you get..I dialed it up on the verge of breakup, and hit the front end with a Boss Blues Driver pedal, and bamm! Heavy, yet articulate all at the same time..exitflagger wrote:Does anybody have any opinions on Rivera amps? I played through one today and loved it. I may have to get one.

Re: El Toro's Official Guitarded Thread...
That's funny cuz one of the selling points to me is that the controls are way easier to use than anything I've played since I've been shopping amps lately. The gain channel is very Marshally and the clean channel is very Fendery (actually way better than Fender IMO). Tone is nice and creamy, almost like a modeling amp but it gets loud and doesn't lose anything at higher volume.ElToro wrote:I always had trouble dialing them in, but once they were in.. BAM!

They are highly respected amps from everyone I have heard. If you dig it and think you can get the price you want, I'm sure you'd be happy with it in the long run. I have never heard a bad thing about them, and that in itself is a good recommendation if you think about it.

Just the MS standard model, but it still kicks ass. I am not a big fan of Chinese guitars , but I will make a exception on this one.

I'm trading a buddy of mine my LTD EC-1000 for his Peavey Wolfgang Special(purple). I've lusted after his guitar for years now and he's tired of it and wants new blood. Sounds absolutely killer through my rig. I should be getting it by friday. Very pumped. By far one of the sweetest sounding and easiest guitars I've ever played. Can't believe he's getting rid of it.

Toro, yep. Its the flat top. I haven't seen the guitar in a couple of years but it was a killer guitar. Peavey really had it going there for a while.

Here's my latest. Classic 70s model. I tried out the american version and really couldn't see much difference at all. This is actually a very nice axe for the money. Stock pickups are exactly what i was looking for. The only thing i might change is to put some stainless medium jumbo frets on her and add a high mass trem bliock.

Anybody have any recommendations for an inexpensive acoustic? I'm looking to get one for my boys. I've bought them three Agile Les Pauls and they have been great guitars for the money. Rondo doesn't have much of an acoustic selection.
One of them tried a Hohner HW300 and he seemed to like it. Any reviews on this or have others you could steer us to?
