The cool thing about Stonebreed...

Postby Udo Dirkschneider » Mon Jan 08, 2018 1:15 pm

They somehow whored themselves out so much on the net that people actually know who they are - to a point.

I mean, there have been tons of bands promoting, but somehow these dudes made it through the din and into out hearts.

I often wondered if someone kept posting their shit everywhere possible, year after year... would they get noticed?

Like them or hate them, you know who they are!

I hope they're investing their money wisely. And I look forward to a Carlos bio.

Yea it's quite disappointing Stonebreed name is so big but people have to google Janet Gardner
Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

People may know of them but can't name a single song and immediately associate them with "suck".

I think the Stonebreed obsession will never leave the borders of the Metal Sludge Gossip Board. Some here have an unhealthy obsession with Carlos. Hitting a weak target time after time after time is boring to me but apparently not to others.

People on Sludge knowing them doesn't amount to much, especially when Carlos has made the band a running punchline on here..

I know 20 club level bands right now who do the exact same thing Carlos does, albeit they don't pay to play, nor do they beg for gear or rides to their shows, nor are any door-to-door meat salesmen, but they bust their asses and promote their shows and make them happen with their own gear..
Not once have I ever heard one of them resorting to gofundme because they don't want to spend their own money to travel 1800 miles to play an area that no one knows a song by the band..
They also wouldn't offer to put someone on their guest list, then whine about the lousy 10 bucks admission fee the band is losing because of it and try to guilt the person into flipping out $15 for a cd full of rehashed Molly Hatchet riffs and Eeyore level vocals....

They also don't spam Metal Sludge with their local show announcements, because their local fans already know, via Facebook, that their band is playing a show..

They also do not create really shitty flyers and attempt to make themselves look bigger than they are by adding "special guests" to the headliner's advertisement, nor do they namedrop like Eddie Trunk trying to impress a bunch of anonymous smart aleks on a hair metal message board....

Can't really find anything cool about Stonebreed.

But, it is a cool thing that the only time I read about , or see anything Stonebreed, is on here. And, well, that is more than enough torture for a day.

Kudos. An excellent synopsis of why Carlos will never going anywhere in the music industry.

Stonebreed doesn't HAVE an army. They ARE however, like a coastal storm or hurricane, which is why it's called the Stonebreed Coast Guard.

Why isn't Da Breed direct support for Keifer Magic Mountain show? Most will be eating at the food court still

They have Burger King and Chipotle
Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

We are Direct Support for Tom on April 12 at the Canyon Club Santa Clarita has nothing to do with Magic Mountain. Even though we're Direct Support and go on at 9, I bet I still your ass stroll in at like 9:50 as we're saying thank you goodnight!!!

Better shot for Vegas would have been line at merch table..not 4 guys and a shirt

Magic Mountain Canyon Club has headliner at 9
Guess that means Keifer at 8 for 45 minutes

In "support" of Tom. lol. STFU you clown..

Like Tom would have to cancel the show because your sorry ass wasn't there "supporting" them..LOL..

You're paying for a slot at the show. You're not evening opening. You bring nothing to the table. No support. You're just "there"...

Band homework..write the review and hand it in before the show.

You need to stop with all the crowd shots and just do live band photos..up close close close

Is NAMM a Meat & Greet?

You’re probably sick of it, but if you take requests, can you guys do “Medium Rare”?

(Thanks, I’m here all night. Tip your waitress and try the horse).
