BUCKCHERRY announce new album "Vol. 10"

Post by SexxAtraxxion »

https://consequence.net/2023/03/buckche ... good-time/
Buckcherry have announced that their 10th studio album, appropriately titled Vol. 10, will arrive on June 2nd. The 11-song album will offer 10 new Buckcherry originals, as well as a cover of Bryan Adams’ “Summer of 69” as a bonus track.

In advance of the album, Buckcherry have debuted the first single, “Good Time.” Tom Flynn and Mike Watts directed the music video (below), which was filmed in Los Angeles.

Vol. 10 was recorded at Sienna Studios in Nashville with famed producer Marti Frederiksen. Pre-orders are available here and here.

Meanwhile, Buckcherry just kicked off a co-headlining US tour with Skid Row on Thursday night (March 9th). A fall leg was recently added, making for an extensive outing. Pick up tickets here.

Watch the video for Buckcherry’s new single, “Good Time,” below.

Good Times wasn’t bad I kind of liked it.

Buckcherry just reminds me of white trash rock these days.

Will never have the same magic of the first two albums ever again. This band needs Keith!

I wonder the real reason Keith finally left? They've had a nonstop touring schedule ever since they got back together in '05 so I wonder if he was just completely burned out?

As much as these guys get bagged on:

1. The riff is catchy as F@#k
2. They actually have GREAT production (listen up LAG!)
3. Theyre always working

Theyre grinding 24/7 - Gotta give some respect........

10th studio album!

Damn, would never have guessed they have released that many albums.

I got 15 and it sucked for the most part.

I dig it. Bass has solid punch and simple Buckcherry is how they do best. This could get some little play here or there.

I found a new respect for the band after they did 230 shows in a year after the pandemic. They have a formula that works and they bust ass.

I miss Keith being in the band..i saw the reason he gave... wonder if he just had some internal issues with Josh or something... Pretty sure he still owns 50% of the name so he probably still making some coin off BC

That song isn’t great, but it’s ok.

It’s the best I’ve heard from them since the Black Butterfly album.

Did you hear anything off the last release 'Hellbound'? This just sounds like leftover trash from that album. Talk about sticking with a formula... They're like AC/DCs mentally challenged little brothers.

Regurgitated rock riff + Lame ass party time lyrics written by a 40 years past his prime sober dude covered in strip mall tattoos. Sounds like a recipe for suck-sess!!!

I like Buckcherry and will buy the CD, but this song sounds like they re-worked the singles "So Hot" and "Hellbound" (from the last album) into one song.

I wish they would stop writing with Marti Fredriksen. This is the typical vanilla shit that he helps bands come up with. It’s middle of the road bullshit. This band used to have an edge early on. That’s been gone since the 3rd album.

Working with Marti is probably the only way they can still make records.

I like a few of their tunes.
Not a fan of Josh voice.
This song riff has been used 100xs by other bands.

Anyone else get this one, yet? For my money, this is easily the best Buckcherry (or what's left of them) since Time Bomb. Really good riffs throughout.

Sorry to hear Billy Rowe left Jetboy but... I guess bills need to be paid. He probably earns a decent wage playing for Buckcherry.

A number of years back Jetboy went to France and gigged for a month. However, the singer Micky Finn didn't go. The band used a different singer. I listened to a podcast where Finn explained he didn't go because the guarantees were too low. There was no money to be made. Finn had bills and couldn't leave on what amounted to a glorified vacation.

IMO, the latest CD (Vol 10) and the previous (Helbound) are both pretty good/solid.

I respect Buckcherry for the hard work they do! Touring constantly and still putting out new music. Full on artist career for sure.

But damn, is this a bad cover or what? The original is a stone cold classic which has been covered by a every single cover band in the world.

And yet this version is pretty much even more bland and lifeless than your local cover bands. Totally lacking everything that actually makes the original great.

Certainly helping: Having a hit doctor co-write most of the record as well as producing.

That’s why the albums are subpar. Marti Fredriksen neuters bands. Overrated songwriter.
