They guy who made it posted that he should have an update fairly soon. Said he would explain the whole situation when the time is right. Obviously VH in some form got involved but airing the episodes doesn't seem to be off the table.

I was guessing Roth objected, but I don't think he has any say in VH matters. I suppose his camp could get a cease still maybe? Supposedly the third episode makes him look even worse and this will be the only documentary on VH from 1984 going forward.

Yeah, not sure how he didn't see that coming. Especially were the documentary was getting publicity on at least the Sirius channels and VHND had a watch party for the first couple. It took him 7 months to put it together.

EDIT: So the guy's been posting updates on Reddit and elsewhere. Quick paraphrase. Alex has the videos and was just made aware of them last week. It's up to him whether or not they're released, but no determination has been made yet.

He also mention that he didn't put them all up at one because he wasn't sure how VH would respond and if they were all up at once, he'd receive 5 copyright strikes or something and channel would be deleted, rather than just a couple for two episodes, so it was a test release.

That’s the thing, who gives a fuck if your channel is deleted?… unless you’re making money off that said channel, which leads to this being all done for money not fandom, which is why in the end AVH will kill it.

Drop them all at once and then they're "out there", but apparently that would have been too easy when he could try to milk this for notoriety and it blew up in his face.
