Mötley Crüe have unveiled a massive, multi-configuration 40th anniversary reissue campaign for their landmark sophomore album Shout at the Devil.
Fans will have numerous options for acquiring the newly remastered re-release, including a massive Super Deluxe Edition box set, as well as single LP vinyl variants via specific retailers.
For the hardcore Crüe obsessive, the box set is the centerpiece. The original remastered album is included on vinyl, CD, and cassette, along with a plethora of goodies: the 7-inch vinyl singles of “Too Young to Fall in Love” and “Looks That Kill,” plus: pentagram séance boards, a Mötley Crüe metal 7-inch turntable adapter, album art lithographs, tarot cards, a devil candle holder, and more. To top it off, seven rare era-specific demos are also included in the collection under the title Shout at the Demos & Rarities.
Released in 1983 during the “Satanic Panic” that swept the country throughout the decade, Shout at the Devil stands as a seminal album not just for Mötley Crüe, but heavy metal in general. The album’s visual aesthetics would come to define the genre, and the music served as a gateway to even more extreme and blasphemous forms of metal.
The LP was also a commercial success, breaking into the Top 20 on the US album charts at the time and receiving significant exposure via the craze that was MTV. Shout at the Devil has since been certified 4x Platinum by the RIAA.
Ahead of the 40th anniversary reissue, Mötley Crüe will be playing a handful of summer US dates with Def Leppard and Alice Cooper. The outing kicks off Saturday (August 5th) in Syracuse, New York, and you can pick up tickets here.
Pre-order the Shout at the Devil box set here and the single LP picture disc version here. See the tracklist below.

I already bought the album in 3 different formats, no way I'm buying a 4th copy unless there's a live set included or a guitar pick autographed by John 5!

Those extras are dumb.
Instead of finding awesome photos and stuff from the time, they just have thir jank-ass graphic designers who dont know anything about the era make some stuff.
Reminds me of this shit:
Ah, the good ol, Rainbow Pentagram. Pride in satan!
Nice GGG logo on this one
The world tour of 86 where they were still in SATD wear
This one is impressive. SATD font, DrF outfits, and Smokin in the Boys room.

So in other words, it's the same fucking shit across several mediums. Jumping on the "huge box set" fad, Mötley Crüe is still your reigning world champions of the Laziest Band in Rock.

They claiming it's a remaster but I'm not hearing it. The original version of that copy was sourced from a bootleg cassette tape in 2002 for the 1st volume of box set that came out . They did an amazing job fixing it up. Just wish they would have fixed up some of the others.MattleyCrue wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 5:30 pmThe first tee is a Madeworn Motley one I have it.HueyRamone wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 2:08 pm Those extras are dumb.

This, how difficult would it be to dig up a live video or at least a soundboard tape from the era? And some demos that haven't been out in the wild since 1986?Wednesday 13 Fan wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 4:20 pm So in other words, it's the same fucking shit across several mediums. They don't have shit for video at all but live stuff, they got a shit ton of it. Should have included removal sessions for all their 55 year old fans who go the TOP masks and/or Pentagram tattooed back in the day.

And you nailed it… some poser millennial designer… probably a girl… who wasn’t even alive in 1983 piecing these designs together like the latest issue of Teen magazine. ZERO authenticity.

You assholes don't even like most of the actual Motley Crue albums. Now you complain when they don't scrape the bottom of the barrel for rarities and demos.
