Definitely a different sound for Vixen, a bit dated perhaps but I don't hate it.

Wow, that's FAR better than I was expecting. The people that don't like Vixen still won't like them, but that was much better than that "85" song that Janet released earlier this year.

If they're recording with Julia, I wonder if that means that Share's hiatus is going to be a bit more..."permanent".

Looks aside, Britt is a much better guitar player than people playing in other, higher profile acts (Cough cough....Warrant).

Yes definitely way ahead of that awful Janet and Justin single, this Vixen track has a solid hook, energy and good production. It's way better than we should rightfully expect from Vixen in 2023 and they're great live. One of the better bands on the scene right now.

I like RED the more I play it.

Regarding how the new VIXEN song came together, Roxy said: "We actually worked on it with Fred Coury from CINDERELLA. He's quite the songwriter and he's a producer and he writes jingles for soundtracks and things like that. So we hooked up with him and he had the song and he presented it to us. And we said, 'Okay, let's take that and let's own it.' And that's what we did. And it came out killer. It's a good representation of this new VIXEN. So I think fans are gonna dig it. I mean, we certainly do. We owned it, we feel good about it and we're gonna throw it out there and, yeah, see if it sticks."

And Roxy was on Trunk Nation yesterday and she said Share can come back anytime and many people want to play w/ Julia.
While it seems she's still able to be a part of the band, it doesn't appear she has much to do w/ any of the business or current progress or decision making.

Who knows, even Jerry Dixon finally came back. But it's Roxy's band for now.

Thought the Vixen video was great and really suited the song, hard to fault this. Seeing that the song wasn't written by them is a concern though, I hope they can maintain the consistency of Red for a full album.
