Right into the synth, Day-Glo era of MTV. I don’t think Rob got enough respect for his cardio. Absolute machine on the stage when it comes to filling a full stage and not being out of breath whatsoever, yet still sounding strong. No Phil Chen in this clip sadly, the whole band is kicking ass here.

You hardly ever see him on any of those greatest rock singers/frontmen lists these days, but he definitely belongs near the top. Guy was hugely popular for a long time, but as strange as it sounds he's probably underrated to an extent. Saw him at a festival in '89, he and his band fucking killed it.

Yeah was great up until about 2010 or so. Sounds awful now, but it seems that hasn’t stopped him touring.

Why should he stop if the Stones won't?BernieTaupson wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2023 6:06 am Yeah was great up until about 2010 or so. Sounds awful now, but it seems that hasn’t stopped him touring.

Mick's voice is one of the best things about their new record. It's crazy.

Rod is great, but El Duce did the best version of "Maggie May".

This the tour that was supposed to include Jeff Beck but then Rod got worried and decided to limit Jeff to a guest spot and Beck bailed? Yeah I was thinking about going to see this show until I heard that...

Looks like he had some dance training...judging by the costuming, he probably had a team doing some kind of post-MTV image upgrade shit.
For my money, he was a better frontman in the Faces, before the dance steps. https://youtu.be/Q0McoZYzq_k
