Cheese factor is off the charts. Wow.

Hopefully I dont have to hear / see this one again.

For always trying to be so "metal" Doro is always smiling and happy. This music is supposed to have some anger and rage... not all fun and games.

True, her songs really aren't about anger/rage. "Revenge" is a great recent one for that. "I Am What I Am" from '89 works well for that too. Instead, one of her main themes has always been fighting to overcome things/survive various forces.

Halford is the weak link/wrong fit for the song.

So has (classic era) Halford's ... is there something they are trying to tell us?

Or has Halford rammed it down with Doro ... "I still do that thing sometimes, you know" as he said around Ozzfest.

When something as objectively awful as this is released, I always think of the people behind the scenes who ended up working on it. How many times did the video editors have to suffer the repeated playback of it, how badly did it affect the producer/engineer/mastering guy, what did people think the first time they heard it, did anyone consider quitting because of it, that kind of thing.

It was a deeply horrific song the first time around in 1983, and so at odds with what Priest were doing at the time - a quick look at Metalpedia says they'd just released Feeewheel Burning and had played at the US Festival. Imagine telling Priest and their fans that in the space year 2023, Rob Halford would be covering Bonnie Tyler songs.

Hard to believe that someone didn't take either Doro or Halford aside at some point and tell them honestly how bad this was.

The worst thing I've heard since the last Peter Criss album by quite some margin.

Perhaps a bit too harsh
Lets have a listen to this classic once again for comparison:

I don't mind the song itself, but that video is one of the laziest things I've ever seen.

A little different for both Doro and especially Halford. Definitely overdramatic, but that's kind of how the original is. Doro has a lots of ballads that I like better but I think it's pretty good overall. It's kind of a unique ballad to choose with the different sections and they shortened it from the original.
