Another forum voted this album the best of 2023. Do you agree?

Not everybody is on MetalShit.com and Blabberface fuckin’ dot net! Who cares? There’s such a small amount of people that do that. - Blotz

It made it into my Top 50 of 2023, so while it wasn't my favorite, I definitely enjoyed it.

I listened to that first 10-min long song. It's very well done but not my cup of tea. Too proggy. I'll go see them if they come to town though, this type of music is often better live.

Listening to the latest Overkill album again right now, much better than I remember it being, I just might buy it.

The Metal Archives skews heavily to obscure and fringe metal. I mean, look at their top 10:

Dødheimsgard
Hellripper
Malokarpatan
Cattle Decapitation
Dying Fetus
Sacred Outcry
Moonlight Sorcery
Panopticon
Cirith Ungol
Overkill

Overkill is the only recognizable band on the list.

I checked out the second place album by Hellripper (what a stupid name) and holy shit this is awesome. Old school thrash by a one-man show, a Scottish dude who is an oddball in that he's cleanshaven and ink-free and plays all the instruments. Could do without the black metal style vocals but that's ok. This is great old school thrash with a modern flavor.
