Cheap Trick's Mighty Wings
What do you guys think of this song? Sounds nothing like their early albums, but I absolutely love this one. One of the highlights on the Top Gun soundtrack.

It must be the band's most well known and sold song, being on that soundtrack. It's even been covered by some metal bands. That said, it doesn't represent the band really. They have dozens of better songs.

No, but compared to anything on The Doctor, it's a masterpiece.

Sounds like an appetizer you'd have at the restaurant before the main course comes out.

Apparently they didn't write it, which would explain that. Harold Faltermeyer and Mark Spiro got the credits on that.Hellsinkey wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2024 5:07 am That said, it doesn't represent the band really. They have dozens of better songs.

Solid tune, but it’s not as good as their classics like “Surrender”, “I Want You to Want Me”, “Dream Police”, and “The Flame”. I’ll definitely crank it up when I’m in the mood to do so.

Love the song, but it just sounds like Robin Zander and some studio musicians.
