People who think Jani was our generation’s John Lennon are calling me a retard

Jani never wrote anything near Dee’s level or caliber. Dee and his band looked and acted like clowns then again, so did
Jani and his band.

Stay Hungry the song > Warrant’s entire discography

Voting for Dee on this one.

Aside from Heaven, I'm not much a fan of Warrant, I have their greatest hits CD and that thing bores me to tears, whereas Stay Hungry has a bunch of good songs.

Dee.

Fuck Warrant. Pussy shit. At least TS had some badass rockers.

You can keep your wimpy Down Boys, corny Cherry Pie and chick shit with Heaven and I Saw Red.

Jani Lane/Warrant > Dee Snider/Widowmaker > Dee Snider/Twisted Sister

Twisted Sister's "career" is 99% due the success of the 2 videos for "I Wanna Rock" and "We're Not Gonna Take It", they hit at the right time of MTV/pop culture, because their catalog is 99.9% throwaway filler, and musically the band sucks .........IMO, Dee's best album (vocal performance and songs) is the 1st Widowmaker CD.

Neither were exactly Shakespeare when it came to songwriting, but if I had to hazard a guess, I'd go with Jani here. Really, it was just about fun, cheesy rock n' roll with both of them.

Right - conversely, MTV had nothing to do with Warrants success...
