Ugh that's a soft list.

Dave Matthews Band is a given after that I’d go with - Mary J Bilge, Mariah Carey, Cher, Erik B. And Rakim, Sinead O’Connor, Sade and A Tribe Called Quest.

That would be a majorly suck show that I would miss just like last year’s show since it’s not on HBO like it should be.

I said last year that Sade deserved it way more than a lot of people who've gotten in. Glad to see them on this list.

Jane's Addiction is an interesting one. They were so groundbreaking and helped kick off the alternative wave. Broke up too soon. At the time, people were aching for a reunion. But when they finally got back together, the magic was gone and they lost their legendary status. It's almost like somebody needed to die or something to lock in the legacy.

I think Sinead's a lock this year. Timing.

Foreigner and Ozzy absolutely deserve it. Sludge doesn't want to hear this, but Mariah Carey and Cher deserve it too.

Once again, rock and roll is a genre, not an "attitude". They need to change the name to the Popular Music Hall of Fame. There is obviously nothing "rock and roll" about Sade and the like. Nothing against their music.

How did Ozzy get ignored every year since 2010?!

Can't wait for Sinéad's acceptance speech!

That's because we don't know how to rock.
I guess we need to start focusing more on the rock & roll stylings of Mariah and Cher.
Maybe then, we will learn to dig that crazy beat.

As someone else pointed out, the "Rock & Roll" Hall of Fame is a general pop-music hall of fame. The horse is out of the barn on that one, whether you like it or not.

Cool.
I hope Tony Orlando and Pat Boone get in someday.

I guess we wont hear an acceptance speech that includes a reference to "the Difficult Brown"

Now, if you'll excuse me, i'm off to rock the fuck out to some Sade. That is some seriously bad fucking ass rock and motherfucking roll.

Romeo Blue!

Foreigner should have been in a decade ago.

Is there a more generic, bland, and soulless rock band than Foreigner? Also, who would perform if they somehow got in? (They won't.)

Telling that the first year after Jan Werner was kicked off the board, that some rock acts are nominated.
King of shows who the problem was with some of the horrible nominations
I think this is a very solid group as its not so obvious as to who's getting in as I could see almost every artist getting in
That said, RRHOF is a joke & matters none in the grand scheme

I mean, that "Say you will" shit is strictly muzak for grocery stores, but they had some tasty rock on their first three albums..

I know you qualified it with "some", but I count 6 acts that could be called rock, against 9 acts that are not rock.

"Sorry Iron Maiden, i hear you're still sorta popular these days 40 years on or whatever, but A Tribe Called Quest was a smash mainstream hit for a year, before album #2 killed their career, and that seems more important."

But HoF-worthy? Other than Ozzy, who on this list is really HoF-worthy? Maybe Frampton but even he's most famous for falling completely off the face of the earth after the moat successful live album of all time.

I'm curious as to why Bryan Adams hasn't gotten in yet? I know the Hall of Fame has been a bit of a joke for a long time, but that is a glaring omission.

Is Ozzy solo really HOF worthy?

He's no Sade, but I guess some of his music could be considered to be, "rock."

as for Sade, I recall reading a James Hetfield interview back in the day where he says he loves the "Diamond Life" album.

*9 Top-10 singles
*First four albums at least 5X platinum, the fifth was 3X and the sixth was 1X.

That's HOF-worthy in my book. Certainly more than some of the shit bands and acts that are already in.
