I think you nailed it but this album won’t help his case.

You can tell he possibly played in a few places on this but the majority doesn’t sound like he had any involvement. Get trunk and the same jokers to talk it up etc to make it seem like he’s still able to perform, getting good feedback to use as ammo

Not delta blues, but I did kind of expect a bluesy album since that's what he's said he's been making for the last 35 years.

Yup. It's definitely mick on new tattoo. Not sure why he said that. Been so long, he is probably confusedJason Jennifer Leigh wrote: ↑Thu Feb 22, 2024 7:24 pm When Mick said he wasn’t on the last three albums I think he was including The Dirt because New Tattoo is undeniably a Mick Mars album.
Re: the new Mick Mars album?
I was expecting Cream + AIC = Mick Mars and this is not that. This is produced/written/performed by people who didn't know neither.

The first time I remember him mentioning a bluesy solo album was around the time ToP came out.Chip Z'Hoy wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2024 4:06 pm

Maybe this is his idea of a bluesy sound....

When he said a blues album, he actually meant it would give the poor suckers who bought it the blues....

Big riffs and bluesy leads, that's what we were expecting. Not quasi-industrial over produced modern metal drivel. Honestly this makes BOD sound like BOC...
