totally indistinguishable from anything on Rock radio today. I don't "hear" him on this at all.

I agree … no Mick Mars on the Mick Mars album.

Very disappointed.

He hasn't been on an album since Shout. Even that is questionable. Might be since Too Fast.

When Mick said he wasn’t on the last three albums I think he was including The Dirt because New Tattoo is undeniably a Mick Mars album.

Awful.

This is a stinker.

Megaphone on several tracks, I counted 4 or 5 songs without guitar solos, zero riffs, one very short decent solo, noise, noise, noise … I don’t think Mick had much to do with this album at all.

I won’t buy it or listen to it again.

Best song is the last one the instrumental LA Noir!

What was the point of this?

I even thought the instrumental was boring.

I’d rather listen to the 30 second Corabi clips on repeat for 4 minutes than listen to any of these songs.

Agreed. The only thing that sounds remotely close to a Mick Mars idea. This is so disappointing. Proves he wasn’t much of a force in the Motley songwriting machine.

I really wanted to like this. It’s a huge disappointment. You’d think, given his age and experience he’d do something retro. Instead we get modern rock garbage, with horrible Emo vocals, a la Brides Of Destruction and Sixx AM.

I like it overall, but it is not at all what I was expecting. As a Jacob Bunton / Paul Taylor collaboration I give it an 8. As a Mick Mars solo album maybe a 6 at best

My theory is that this was rushed to prove mars doesn’t have cognitive issues among other things to use for his lawsuit with Crue. You can tell he possibly played in a few places on this but the majority doesn’t sound like he had any involvement. Get trunk and the same jokers to talk it up etc to make it seem like he’s still able to perform, getting good feedback to use as ammo

Lol. Since when has Mars ever been considered a great guitar player anyways?? Love him and his stuff in Crue, but cmon people he’s never been influential in anyway

I have no interest in this at all based on the universally negative feedback. I always assumed he'd do an album along the lines of his Bittersuite track from Quaternary. Seems he shot himself in the foot with this album.

It's the best Crue-related album post-1994.

I usually don't care about negative feedback on albums. Always want to listen and make my own opinion. But after hearing the first 2 songs...and this thread. Don't think I'm gonna waste my time with this

It's an awful album, but this might still be true.

It’s not.

Mick was actually #1 in iTunes this morning, Ace was #2 … if that means anything 2024 and I doubt it does.

Bob Deal was always a poser and trend jumper. Just compare his look and sound in Whitehorse to TFFL Crüe.

To each its own.

But it’s interesting how it’s often mentioned that Mick Mars was an important part of Mötley’s song writing…and then these songs sound nothing like Mötley.

Same iTunes charts that had Tom MacDonald and Ben Shapiro as the "#1 rappers".

I think dmbrocker is the only person here that still buys albums on iTunes.

I think makes a lot of sense.

Those Corabi demos shit all over these songs. I can’t even be bothered to listen to the rest online.
