I had sort of become obsessed with actress Helen Chandler, who was a popular star on stage and screen in the 20s & 30s.

Her sad story inspired me to do something in her memory.

So I wrote and produced this song, and to do it right, I got my buddy to sing, knowing his voice would be a better fit.
