Any opinions on Highly Suspect?

Post by Slippery Pete »

I somehow missed this band when they first arrived but I've listened to a few songs now and they seem decent.

Lydia, Bath Salts, My Name is Human, 16... I dig them all.

Anyone else into them? Song recommendations?

Yeah, i like them... not sure how i found out about them. But I think they're cool!

My Little One is good. Also Tokyo Ghoul, if you can deal with hiphop stuff.

Love these guys. One of the more original bands around. First 3 albums are pretty much perfect. Last one is good, but not as good as the first ones.

Canals is awesome

Chicago (cool piano ballad)

16

I could go on for a while

This is definitely not a band for everyone though.

Not that familiar - they sound OK.

Bloodfeather is an awesome tune. This band started out as one thing and with the addition of two new members, not to mention the change in appearance of the singer, has morphed into something different. I saw them open up for Muse last year and they put on a good show.

Also, about 10 years ago, the singer was offered the gig to front Stone Temple Pilots. He was told to keep it quiet, but after he passed on the opportunity, he went on social media and blabbed about it. Not cool.

Why. He's not under obligation to keep quiet. The "he was told" shit sounds like they already were dictating terms to him like they would if he became a scab. They woulda bossed him around if he was a scab, sure, but he wanted to be his own man. Why cant he say he auditioned.

“My Name Is Human” is one of my all time favorite tracks. Pure gas. Being said, I’ve heard many reports these guys are pretty poor in a live setting, which stinks. Definitely substance issues that are interfering.
